[WoW] 1.11 Tomorrow?

But we'll do our best to fix bugs as quickly as possible and show expediency with any tuning issues that might arise.

Just so you know, our internal testing efforts are ongoing. Our QA raid team has spent many hours on every encounter in Naxxramas. Now, they're focused on Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad -- the encounters which saw the least amount of testing on the PTR's (unless you count death touch hacking your way through the dungeon =P). Even after patch 1.11 goes live, our internal team will continue to work on the unbeaten encounters in Naxx to ensure the best possible tuning. It's always hard to get cutting edge content perfect, but we'll do our best to be responsive should any problems rise to the surface.

No promises as to when the patch is going live, but if I were you, I'd start working on that Argent Dawn rep by tomorrow -- either that or pillage the guild bank while the pillaging is good.

Your presence on the PTR's was greatly appreciated.

After being blue-balled by Naxx being down all last week on the PTR, I am eager to get into Naxx and start wiping on new content. Naxx is looking to be easily the best raid dungeon mechanically and aesthetically, and the loot whores can rejoice in their temporary revels.

All the signs point toward it being released tomorrow, with apparently unfinished Saph n' Kel. Hopefully it won't take them 2-4 months to realize that they're as unbeatable as C'Thun was. (According to Tigole, he expects Naxx to be beaten in 2-4 months)

Patchtimer says 83 days, so maybe tomorrow, maybe next week.

C'Thun demonstrated that making sure the final bosses are balanced isnt a high priority, so I would guess 1.11 tomorrow ;P

Thank god, something to do finally. Bought HoMM5 and GC2readlords because WoW is starting to bore me.

the problem with AQ is that you didn't really need AQ loot to finish it. Most classes did fine in there w/ full BWL equipment. I assume Kel and a few other final bosses are tuned for a raid force in mostly tier Naxx armor.

Not to mention the incredible amounts of frost gear in 1.11. The frost set for priests has 8 pieces to it which together add 252 Frost Resist, and a bunch of STA. Only 2 of which are really drops (not counting frozen runes). So almost immediately, raiding guilds will have potential access to huge amounts of frost resist. Naturally guilds will wait until we find out if frost resist is required to progress through Sapphiron or any other bosses.

I might just go ahead and buy the set so I can kick some frost mage's ass though.

The only major upgrade between 3 and 2.5 for warlocks is primarily the set bonuses. The stat/dmg upgrades are marginal at best in most cases.

As for frost, almost all the items require frozen runes, which drop inside Nax I imagine.

Isn't there going to be an event prior to 1.11? The Invasion? Or are they going to clusterfuck the two together and release the event AND Naxx in the same patch?

AQ event and release were the same patch, why would they change now.

The invasion doesn't have anything to do with the dungeon being there though - it's not like the AQ event where there's this long buildup.. Naxx will be open and playable from day 1, and there'll also be these scourge invasions you can do.

The scourge invasions have to do with faction grinding, and getting the frost runes, and quest items that give the new Argent Dawn sets ala http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...ctions/argent/ .

Its the 'casual' content for a Raid Zone release.

are you sure about that? I thought that naxx kind of flies around to various cities before it settles over EPL? Or is that thing in the video just like a "mini naxx" and the real one is in EPL from the start?

Those are 'mini-naxx'es, I haven't actually fought one but from eyeballing them and seeing naxx, they are smaller.

Anyone able to clarify what the supposed 'casual content' is like?
