| I put refineing the animations near the bottom of the list theres simply to many other things of importance to be fixed like, item progression its pretty common to find items in DT that are completely trumphed by items in say Claymore quest line or Lab. I think this problem stims more from individual zone designers not coordinating what there putting in and how there zone difficulties are supposed to compare on the scale/point system for items in each zone. Look at how many 2handers there are most of our melee have atleast 5 or more now, caster itemization is still non existent no new graphics and poor effects at the high end. If theres one thing that makes my pet peave list and most everyone I know playing currently is still the lack of truely unique graphics on Fabled items. You can find that most of the current high end armor/weapon graphics are just reused from lvl 20 on up. Nothings more dissapointing then being awarded a new weapon from say Death Toll and you equip it to see its a rehashed graphic that they threw some particle effect on in some attempt to make it diffrent. |

| Was getting crazy amounts of glowing stones in commonlands last night on my brigand (2 on one node even), ended up with 8-9 in fairly short order. Got a few rare loams as well, but zero blackened iron/silver clusters. |

EDIT: I forgot to add that they also removed the Legendary tag from rares so at a glance there is nothing that distinguishes them from other items. I know they are changing the items from Legendary to Mastercrafted but it would be nice if the rares had some tag that allowed you to distringuish them from everything else at a glance. Not a major issue but something I wanted to point out. Last edited by Mithandriel; 06-15-2006 at 12:20 PM..

+20 Internets | I have never had a problem with the animations myself and I dont see why people dislike them so much. If they could optimize the animation/models though, so it doesnt destroy my machine when theres a few people on the screen, THAT would be great. |

| Anyone else think they should up the XP on "main" combines now that there's not subcombines to give more XP along the way? Started a defiler last night (cool class, by the way) and it seems like TS experience went way slower than it did for any previous noob I'd made. Then again, it might be a "my jboots are slower!" kinda thing, too. |

I think that because going out and gathering raws is so easy and because crafting, in general, doesn't cost ALL THAT much, I'd prefer the xp gain to remain about the same. Maybe it's because I'm absolutely stoked that they've removed the subcombines that I'm willing to settle with the current xp gain, I dunno!

I do want to give the game a shot, but I also want to preempt the hours of stress of encountering retarded bugs such as the one I mentioned in my first post in this thread. Edit: Heh not 12 hours after I post about the quest being bugged do I see an EQ2 dev responding saying the quest will be fixed. Thank goodness for small favors

| Really liking the AP so far. For 8 bucks, it's worth every penny (note: if you're 55+). I'd love Shin Village if it werent being mobbed by about 100 people at every hour of the day, all waiting for the Monk Instructor NPC to spawn or answer the question to get into the Tower. My system goes from happy to suicidal in about 3 seconds when I get near those places. I like the idea of the Tower progression, provides for a good way to see all of the content, even if you're above the lvl for the quest. Forsaken City is alright, just very confusing when you're trying to find anything...which may well be the point. Got a guild group together last night and tried out Nizara, City of the Nayad or something like that. It felt like we were trying to one group Labs or something. First two mobs we encounter are 72^^^ with the same Tail Thrash that Vyemm has lol. I'm glad theres something that's even more difficult than HoF though...MMORPGs need to have single group instances that are really tough as well, its nice to have something to do that's challenging in between raids. |

+71 Internets | Nizara was awesome. Half of us had to burn repair kits by the end, laugh. And this was with guard / inquis / defiler / illusionist / 2 brigs. It took us around four hours. Loot sucked shit of course. 1 master, and the rest was all treasured. First day and I have everything done except killing the dragon and the x4 contested. Yay? |

| You were so lucky to be on the access to fourth floor quest before going to city of Nizara then ? :-) Was pretty anoying to first go out exploring and burning the lockout timer before starting the quest line. But i guess thats the benefits of l33t beta infoz :-) Last edited by Denonia2; 06-15-2006 at 04:27 PM.. |

In fact, no one even had to participate to read about the beta - all the information was publicly available on the beta forum: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/e...rd.id=tfd_beta

Animations may not be the prime thing most RPG gamers care about, but for pretty much the rest of the gaming community? Yeah. Games looking smooth and polished are very important.

+1 Internets | The lack of polish with running and swinging and running is...disturbing. I hope that their revamp fixes it. Let's not kid ourselves. If SOE fixes the animation system, which it damn well better do, people will not suddenly flock to the game over WoW. There isn't a high end raiding guild lamenting being forced to stay in WoW because of EQ2s shitty moving animations. It'll just be one less negative people notch under EQ2s belt. Proper animations will probably make people enjoy the game more though, and as a result lasso in a few new players. Hopefully they'll at least break even with the cost of it. Hell, if they did that plus got rid of that stupid auto face whenever you're in combat I might even give the game another shot. I probably won't make it past the first few hours, of course, but I'll send Gallenite a PM for sure.
