They didn't make new ones, but they closed down most of the old ones. That's probably why you can't get to those characters.

Which is stupid since they're all just carbon copies of each other. Probably the only thing actually preventing you from playing your characters are NPC names and the zone name .

I'm sure they'll fix it soon, though this is one of those times you just scratch your head and ask, "How couldn't they see this coming?"

here, ill quote the answer for your question to save you the oh-so-stressfull work of clicking a link and reading few lines

There are four raid targets worth note in The Final Destiny, which are usually refered to as "the crab, the bird, the flower and the turtle"

Some of the events are just simply there to be killed, but one of them, the "turtle" (who is really a gignormous dragon turtle with the body of a giant turtle and the head and tail of a dragon) is related to the main quest, namely old Zeb and his lost memory. It's the final (so we believe at this point) culmination point in the main storyline quest of the AP.

Meh gave EQ2 a go for bout 3-4 months after all the hype surrounding it. Its changed a lot since beta, but imo its still just a very average game. Ive not gone back to WoW, i enjoyed it while i played it, but im looking for a change now, EQ2 was far from it for me.

A lot of people seem to want an alternative to WoW. This can often change into hatred of wow and is usually followed by fanatic devotion to whatever alternative they chose. Coupled with it often being uncool to say anything bad about the underdog, the end result is the alternative tends to get much more credit than it actually deserves.

I look forward to the day when there is an alternative mmo thats a similair standard to WoW, choice is good. Yet i dont see any current MMO nor any in development meeting those goals, Which is a shame because theres a massive untapped market out there for people looking for an alternative quality MMO (me included).

I was running around in Zek today, they must have done some optimizations... a LOT less laggy.

I wonder if they fixed any of the quests that are bugged in the "Trial of the Island" free trial thing. Getting to level 4 and finding out my third ever quest is bugged and uncompletable, as well as googling the quest name and finding numerous posts on the EQ2 forums dating back to march about the issue does not make me want to purchase the game. It was an amusing game beside that but I'm not about ready to get addicted to another game made by a company that is wholly unresponsive to retarded little bugs like this.

Yep, I was waiting for this as well.

I think they should take time to develop new technology and redo the animation system as well the way new armor models are created, but I guess it's asking too much.

On the forums I read they were synching the animations for horse riding, that all I saw about animations improvements.

I'm also pro-subcombines, but I also thought that the system should have gone through consistent changes to be more fun and usable.

There is a quest on the Queen's Colony to look into the source of some poison problem on the island and you need some parchments from a spider nest, except they won't drop the last piece unless you work around it by inviting someone with the retail version who happens to be on the same quest (not bloody likely) and assisting that person when the parchments appear.

While broken quests are annoying, I have to say that the rest of EQ2 more than makes up for that broken quest. /shrug

They have to be better than EQ1s animations. Who remembers the Luclin models shaking their shoulder at the mob when holding a 2HB?

They are better than eq 1 luclin animations, but they are still pretty shoddy.

Isolated bugs happen, hope yours gets fixed.

But the servers went up hours early, everything worked, no huge exploits, no server issues, no broken content, no general fuckedupedness for a patch of this size is the first I've seen in any MMORPG I've played.

KOS launch was fairly smooth too, but this one was the most flawless launches i've seen.

Yeah, I was a little lagged last night, but other than that, servers were up quick and everything was working well.
