| Blizzard at Lanwar http://www.lanwar.com I was wondering if anyone else was going? I'll be there and it'd be nice to get a BG team together for those tourneys. Last edited by tikkus : 05-25-2006 at 10:36 PM. |

| The last LANWAR I went to was #10. When I was there Westwood studios was debuting their new RTS Dune 2. LANWAR is a great time for anyone that can go. The million-man LAN they host once a year usually pulls in close to 1200 people. I will eventually go again once I can compress my current computer performance into a laptop. |

| I've been to one lanwar and one MML. the lanwar was awful. The power my row was using (about 30 people) kept shutting on and off throughout half of a day. It got so boring during that time and frustrating. It severely crippled my porn dl's. We did get free unlimited hooters wings and $.50 Bawls for being one of the unlucky people though. MML was much smoother except for CS 1.6 not working. Appearantly Burden (lanwar administrator) had invited Steam to setup a booth in past MML's but hadn't this time for reasons someone took personal. There was a CS update the day MML started and it prevented people from playing if they hadn't updated. At this MML, they only had a DSL connection for 1,300 gamers, and only allowed two computers at a time to DL the update. To actually get the update you had to MOVE your computer to a table that supplied the only two connections that allowed DL. I also got 4th in the ping pong tourney ![]()
