You have an additional gig(it really does make a large difference) and a (noticeably) better video card.

What resolution? I am hanging in at 1680X1050 because anything else looks terrible other than native res for my dell widescreen.

I run at 1600x1200, but I can't imagine the difference between the two being that extreme.

Well, yes, but I'd still expect it to run on his system better than "shit" as he put it, I would assume that's almost unplayable. Although, it's a pretty nondescript adjective.

Just to reiterate, you're better off replacing the 2x512MB you have now with 2x1GB instead of adding in a second pair of 512MB DIMMs. I'm assuming you have an older A64 (Newcastle or Winchester instead of Venice) and they don't like it when you fill all 4 memory slots.

I would buy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227084 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227056 if I was getting RAM today. The only difference between the two is the color of the heat spreader, btw.

btw 1680x1050 is also acceptable for screenshots...

atleast that is what I was told by someone at sigil a few minutes ago...

Is this in cities as well? I get fantastic framerates everywhere except Qeynos/Freeport zones. The worst i've seen in The Caves.

I was wondering that too. My framerate in EQ2 varied from 10 to 60 (vsync4life) depending on zone and number of other players around. Two group excursions or just being in an area with multiple groups always required me to run to the settings to tone things down from 'very high'.

In a 24 man raid, I remember hearing that SLI'ed 7900GTX's don't provide enough juice to run the game with settings anywhere near max.

It does lag pretty badly if a lot of people come around me(i.e. a city), I don't raid or anything though, most of my playing experience is limited to solo play. Good comparison to Oblivion imo!
