There's a lot of "addicting" things in the world. Exercise can be addictive, food can be addictive, TV can be addictive. The fact that people lack self control doesn't really have anything to do with the MMO industry in particular.

I think I'll find out where that wording came from.

The idea is to make him available on the island for everyone including trial people to take a smack at.

I suppose people there could form a raid and take him out. 24 real newbies managing to form up would itself be pretty epic.

Edit: So that's where it came from. Us. I see how it happened. Could be a little clearer -- The version of him that's a part of the ALS drive isn't the same version of him that will occur later in the game.

No, in that picture he's in Tenebrous Tangle which is a 55+ zone. Part of the KoS expansion.

I think I killed him about 100 times today, over the course of half an hour. He just respawns as soon as you kill him.
