You also have to bear in mind that SirBruce was investor in WW2O, so if he thinks Vanguard is going to struggle, well....

PS: The Vanguard boards are going mental over this 'review'

Are WoW numbers in the US still going up? The 6.5M figure appears to be worldwide.

Lst thing I heard they still are but its slowed down a bunch, They got a couple of big spikes with the regional launches that sorta hid what was going one... although slowing down is a relative term when you think about how many play, isn't it something like 1.5M-2M in the US?

As for AC2 it WAS awesome, pretty graphics and one of the best character development systems that let you pick what you wanted. But it totally lacked content, cool for the first continent with the destroyed world and stuff with a number of quests but after that it was a barren wasteland with barely any quests to hold any kinda interest. (and considering you capped out even faster than WOW you burned up the content in like a week, far worse than even DDO)

Don't count your chickens before they hatch on that beating the crap out of the console gamers with your mouse+keyboard.

What's really cool is that PC and Xbox 360 players will be able to interact on the same servers, though it also sounds like the Xbox 360 players will have separate battle zones--otherwise, PC players might eat them for lunch, given their superior mouse and keyboard controls.

Last world on WoW in North America was 1 million back in August. Europe has just passed 1 million. 1.5 - 2 million North America would be a reasonable estimate now. The other 3 - 4 million are almost entirely in China.

Figures. But there really wouldnt be a way to do it unless you gave console players a huge advantage. The PC setup is just better in every way.

Bruce

I thought it was alot higher. Any recent numbers on EQ2 with all the work they've been doing?

Link to thread please. I'm not lazy, I tried to wade through a few threads in the Production Forum and the Gameplay Forum, but couldn't find anything about the MMOGChart review.

Also, you owe me for the 5 minutes I spent in that cesspool called the Vanguard forums -- good lord that community is absolutely horrible. Every time I visit those forums, I leave hoping the game burns and crashes in flames if just to see all those idiots wiping tears of disappointment from their eyes. Honestly. This has nothing to do with McQuade and his "Vision", but his fans are just unbelievably horrible and I can't imagine playing a game with that community.

Bard also responds to the article about half way down.

I happen to agree with them. Every game other than Vanguard is terrible and has absolutely no redeeming features. The game needs more tedium, if it doesn't have a lot of tedium, it's not worth doing. Also pvp sucks.

Only 12 yr olds play WoW as well.

I agree. Us old folks need more games where we can advance with our pocketbooks instead of our playing time.

We need to get more people from here posting there.

Not in a 'lolz sullon zek JIIIHAAAD~' way, but a 'You want the truth? You can't handle the truth' way.

It's funny cause I read some FOH thread on that forum and a few people said they were signing up over here to "set us straight"

the vanguard forums really are the pits - I would though say that the review is more reflective of the wishes of the loons on the forums than what the game will actually be like.

He seems pretty defensive lately. He takes this article apart piece by piece, pretty much saying it's not worth reading and all wrong, then goes on to praise all the good reviews. He even pointed out where the good reviews are.

I know it's his baby, it just seems kind of wierd. Surely he knows there is going to be criticism? Has he always been that bad about getting a negative review?
