2) Gods feel cocky and show themselves once more

3) Kill them, collect lewtz.

they need to make the returned gods attackable, and seemingly damageable, but never killable. killing gods is just retarded for a game where players actually worship them... although i must say it might be cool if they could have some sort of "war of the gods" event in which players helped npc or gm-controlled dieties defeat other dieties. that'd be one helluva pvp event.

Maybe they can have tests of ____________ where each God has a different style of play. RZ would be strength, Bristlebane would be cunning, etc.. So instead of killing them outright, they'd put a test out there where you can't kill them, but beat the test and you get a chest of loot.

I always thought it would've been nice if, in PoP, the various Planes had quests for those who worshipped them. Maybe even make it a way to progress in the Time keyquest. It was pretty dumb that people had to kill the diety they worshipped just to progress.

Although, I happily would've beaten Karana to death with his weathervane for fucking up my faction.

Except, if I remember correctly, Salvatore basically created the Dark Elves, before him there were a few references to Dark Elves in the Forgotten Realms but not much.

Regardless of whether I'm right or wrong with the above statement. I do like Salvatore's DemonWars books (except for the first one which was kind of meh, but the ones after that are fairly well done).

Actually Deekin in Hordes of the Underdark had this one hilarious line when you were in the underdark. At a random point he just piped in with his usual "boss?" dialogue and then asked how the surface doesn't cave in since the underdark is sooo big?
I often wondered that to myself. DE/Underdark got way too trite in Forgotten Realms :/

When I roleplayed my darkelf I used the nazis as a reference. Dark elves were the perfect race and everything else was dirt, only worthy as slaves or death.

and you fools are forgetting the true reason why Inny is better than all the rest: Necklace of Doom! After I got that bad boy at lvl 17 or so, I could join groups and be all "Don't even worry about runners any more" and they'd be all "Damn, heals and snare; clerics need nerf!" and i'd be like "you want some of this? you can try to get some, but you better be super fast because your ass is gonna be snared" and they'd be all "dang." True story.
