+1 Internets | I gotta admit, the housing in EQ2 with the selling and placing of items really is top notch. At first glance it just came off as a poor gimmick, but it really adds more to your character in the end. I like the fact that more expensive housing allows more items to be sold. Its just another thing you can upgrade that will actually have some sort of benefit to you in game. I only say this because I live in the ghetto and all my neighbors all sell drugs. I cant wait till i can afford to live somewhere better. |

+20 Internets | Well with the reaction that vanguard has gotten from these boards, I'm not sure that was such a good move if that news story is true. I'd assume MS would subsidize some sales since they would be purpusfully handicapping the user base. Its entirely possible though that Brad isnt motivated by the allmight dollar and honestly wants the game to be a success determined by fun factor, and not based solely on his profits. Now whether thats possible or not is what the other 19 pages of this thread are about. |

+2 Internets | http://www.silkyvenom.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3794 Scroll down a bit. Brad denies the accusations. I'd better check my notes to see if he is contradicting himself somewhere... *twitch* |

| Vanguard 360 wru With Vista on the horizon will Vanguard be playable with xbox360 peripherals? I'm not sure, but the UI gives me pause. Is AoC mmogable with xbox360 periphs? Shadorun? Will people accept Voice Chat in their mmogs with or without voice masking if it shows up in Vista platforms? "As part of the Live Anywhere initiative, Microsoft has announced new cross-platform accessories such as the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel and Xbox 360 Wireless Headset, which will enrich game experiences on Xbox 360 and Windows. The new Xbox Live Vision video camera will allow consumers to customize their gamer picture, send photo messages, and video chat with friends and family over Xbox Live." Xmas of last year had Vanguard360 advertised as a future xbox360 release in several publications. Including, even, an instore circuit city xmas ad booklet. Evidently everyone had gotten the wrong idea about Vanguard360 being a possibility. |

| For the casual consumer(!) setting up a plug and play peripheral is a world of difference compared to them tweaking an INI file. The whole idea is to expand the market base by tapping into fresh new ones , while still keeping the hardcores. Hello Live Arcade. Also who said anything about release dates? It's pretty self evident to me that MS needs a killer MMO or two on the xbox360 to help expand its market base, generate hype, and basically compete. Bi2U TFLO. Hi2u VG360. Hence the relevance of Vanguard360. |
