+5 Internets | Money is like water. If a person is swimming in a pool and someone walks up and takes a piss in the water right beside them, can they really claim that they're only swimming in the pool water and not the piss? SOE might not have provided funding expressly for the publication rights buyback from MS, but by agreeing to meet certain other financial priorities Sigil was facing, they sure as hell facilitated the deal. Part of the Woody quote shows this: Quote:

| Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the vanboys at Silky Venom led by Oloh are still keeping the good fight: ----------------------------------------- "Before the people that post on FoH start rolling in and before the headless beast suffocates rational thought, I would like to be the first to congratulate Sigil Games Online on taking the next step to ensuring that Vanguard will be released on Sigil's terms, when it is ready. SOE and Sigil to co-publish Vanguard. Congratulations guys. " - Oloh ----------------------------------------- Oh please ![]() |

They were more likely concerned with the state of the game after 4 years of development and wanted to see some radical changes implemented. Why else let a division of your biggest competitor in the gaming business acquire (this is what's going on folks) your flagship online gaming product? It's obvious that MS lost all faith in VG and did not simply push for an earlier release date. | |
