Fasa Studios is the computer division of FASA that survived the implosion of the pen and paper half by being bought by Microsoft (hence the Crimson Skies and Battletech games on Xbox) Its expected that the Shadowrun game will be fully unveiled at E3 next week. It may be a FPS, it may be a tactics game, it may be a MMORPG. No one is quite sure at this point. Best bet at the moment is for a Hellgate :London-like Tactical Mutiplayer RPG (which kinds jives with the watermarked screenshot you can see behind the sillhouettes above)

The technothingy on the background looks like a gizmo Blizzard often uses. So what's this, the Warcraft universe licensed out to prime sci-fi game developer FASA studios to create a cyberpunk shooter with taurens, night elves and gnomes? I'd play it...

... If shadowrun was invoked without an awesome game to back it, there will be mass kitten killing. Shadowrun on genesis was far and away my favorite game on the system. Hell, i've even reado some of the novels. Sadly I had no friends and couldn't get into the PnP RPG. I'm really looking forward to more info now.

I'm trying to recall if FASA ever did a videogame RPG of some variety. I'd love to see a Shadowrun MMOG (almost as much as I'd like to see a mechwarrior MMOG) but I don't remember FASA pulling off an RPG before. The genesis game was more of an adventure-type scroller right?
