| Oh, I just read a few other replys and I have to say something about other server forums. Most of the people have been saying that their server had non official forums but they were ghosttowns. The reason for this is that ONLY the people from your server had accounts there. If you have a collection of 100's of servers and had some other forums like screenshots, pvp, general thrown in and can cross link a lot I think you will get decent numbers or people using the boards. |

| I edited my post because I didn't read the original as well as I should have. Here are the suggestions that still apply: Migrate the user base over from fohguilds.org like we did for uberguilds.org. Possibly migrate accounts over from current uberguilds.org members? That would result in a solid amount of posters who don't have to go through the process of registering/activating another forum, and perhaps some "instant community" on certain servers. I'm definitely interested in a better forum for WoW-specific stuff.. and a "general" WoW forum that doesn't make you want to gouge your eyes out.

| There isn't enough of a community in game to make one out of game. This will be a total ghost town. And if it did work could you really afford the bandwidth to get it going? If the servers keep going down cause 30k people are all on at once do you think they will stick around? |

+109 Internets | I'm not worried about bandwidth or server resources. Currently the Uberguilds.org network isn't running anywhere near it's limit on either, and with the hardware I plan on installing in a couple months regardless of the status of wowserverforums.com it'll be FULLY capable of handling 30,000+ forum users. In the meantime, I have an exact duplicate of the hardware solution for the Uberguilds network ready to be put into action if wowserverforums.com actually manages to tax what I have running right now. Bandwidth is basically unlimited as long as I can afford it, and if there's 30,000 forum users online at one time on those forums, I will certainly be able to not only afford it, but also attract some real advertisers so I can ditch these annoying google ads on the entire Uberguilds network and gain the ability to pick and choose what you people are subjected to.

+30 Internets | Someone mentioned starting an area for Eve users too. That might not be a bad idea. MMO general is great and all but it is mostly WoW specific these days. Having boards devoted to some of the other MMO's out there could be a good thing. People play EQ2, FFXI, CoX, DaoC and probably other stuff too. Many of them might be lurking here, or even posting, but it seems like threads about these games either drop off the main page fast or they become monolithic monstrosities covering any and every topic about that game. WoW on the other hand gets a thread about every different imaginable topic and often threads need culling because people post the same thing twice. |

+1 Internets | This is a good idea, but the quality of the forums depends upon the quality of its moderators. There's too much shit is undealt with on the Blizzard forums; things like ascii image contests, where the same image is posted over and over, making the thread bloated and insane; simple and obnoxious spelling errors; prejudice and paranoia, e.g. "Blizzard is NERFING ROGUES AGAIN!".... If these issues are prevented, I am willing to participate. |

+109 Internets | It's in the works and should be ready in a few days. Start spreading the word!
