It is really hard to look foward to EQ and EQ2 expansions anymore....I think I was most excited with the release of kunark and planes of power. Now they churn out expansions just to do it and make that extra cash. If for once they didn't charge you for adding some decent content I would be happy.
Except that the most recent EQ2 expansion is bad-fucking-ass. If that's a churned out expansion, gimme more of dat shit.

Didn't they add two zones this patch?

And fuck you, one of the major reasons I'm playing EQ2 is the amount of content/shit to do as opposed to doing the same thing for the 1000th time in WOW.

Yeah, I wish that Blizzard would churn out expansions like KoS. I'd still play WoW, if they did.

Just for completeness, the 9 dots represent Tunare. 3 wavy lines represent Prexus I think. And the other one is the dwarf god, can't remember his name though.

I for some reason thought the image in the center represented Innoruuk. It's all over neriak, but also the plane of hate:

I only saw the 1 raid zone mentioned. There haven't been updates for like a week and suddenly this pretty big one today. Oh, they updated permafrost too apparently with more named, more loot. I liked the zone exp wise but the lack of named really made it hard to convince people to go.

Its sort of refreshing compared to WoW patches of adding armor sets that aren't needed, throwing a couple new drops in instances people have been running for over a year, and 1 class review per patch every 3-4 months and acting like you just got an expansion handed to you. Oh and I can't wait for 1.11 to give me craftable nature resist items just in time for Naxx, but not craftable frost resist items. Hurray!

Its really hard to knock EQ2 at this point, but then again, they have to try harder to get noticed with a behemoth like WoW around.

Center symbol is definitely Veeshan. It's also enormously popular among urn and brazier crafters throughout the known world. Signs point to hidden potter agenda.

It's Faydwer. There's a hidden message in there that basically translates into "The Fae are coming" or something like that. Remember that the EQ1 and EQ2 timelines diverge around near the ending of PoP so Mayong never actually achieved becoming a Demigod like he did when players beat DoD. Due to the events which caused Antonica to become a shitload of continents, there's a fair good chance that Mayong was able to take over Faydwer in the aftermath and make his own personal playground of monstrosities. Will be interesting to see what comes out around E3 cause sure as shit that's when we'll find out everything we'd ever want to know about the next expansion.

I don't play EQ2 anymore due to various reasons which have nothing to do with EQ2 itself but if the next expansion is Faydwer then I'd sure as shit be looking forward to exploring what became of Ak'anon, Unrest, Mistmoore, Kedge Keep and the like.

And to bring this back around to that older EQ2 thread on how EQ2 isnt EQ enough, Devs need to read the bold!!! Thats what people want. I dont want to hear "oh snap ak'anon was destroyed by an earthquake, unrest is gone too, the sea's ate it whole and destroyed it, mistrmoore castle got hit by a huge meteor and was obliterated and kedge keep is buried by all the sand that swirled around during storms.... but heres a bunch of new mobs and dungeons that have no relevance other than what we just told you! Enjoy your return to Faydwer!"

It wont be like that at all - I guarantee it.

I do know, however, that Steamfont Mountains took a direct hit by a very, very large chunk of Luclin and that Ak'anon is at least partially flooded. Unrest, probably not there, since Garanel Rucksif managed to find his way to Antonica, and ghosts usually don't voluntarily leave their haunts. Kedge, who knows. Maybe the water has drained from Dagnor's Cauldron, maybe it's resurfaced, but Phinigel Autropos *was* the last Kedge so unless it's got undead Kedge, we probbaly won't see much. Mistmoore, however, is a different story. I fully expect it to play a huge part in this new expansion. HUGE.

Guess what, not everyone wants it to be an EQ1 clone. I like the level of the past they currently have in game and hope they stick to it.
