+25 Internets | He stopped doing that because two years ago he was walking on water and changed it into vine. Needless to say he covered himself in ridicule when he realised he was not able to walk on vine. And let me tell you stains from ridicule are harder to wash than vine ones.

| Just to throw my feedback in on the mods: I've been using the ntmys version for a little while now. I use a good dozen or two mods and ntmys did indeed cut down load screen times considerably. However, in the long run it's not so great. I noticed WoW running choppier and choppier (~15 fps, not terrible but nowhere near preferred) then normal as I zoned more and more. Now I know that normally, WoW just gets choppy after playing several hours and visiting IF several times, due to RAM gettin' stuffed up or whatnot. But after installing ntmys this eventual choppiness happens MUCH sooner. And it doesn't just cause the game to run slow, it causes all kinds of weird glitches. Last night I was running through WPL and approaching Chillwind Point. As I got close enough to start loading all the building and NPC models, the entire UI would just randomly disappear for a second, as well as textures and polygons in the environment. And it got OBSCENELY choppy, we're talking seconds per frame. Anyone know why this might happen? If I had to guess, I would say that the majority of the time spent on a loading screen is not the actual loading of new data, but the unloading of old data. I could see this unloading process being thought of as unnecessary, but say goodbye to your memory if you think so.

| One thing I"ve noticed since downloading Catalyst has been completely freezing up when a new member joins the raid for about 10 seconds. Granted this is usually after 5 hours and I haven't exited the program to clear it all... |

| I have all 3 of those mods loaded - my fastest zone in is zoning into MC in 1.3 seconds. I've yet to get a zone slower than 4 seconds with these mods, usually around 2.5 It's pretty nice. Zoning on a Zepplin used to take quite a while, and I don't run much in the way of mods heh. Now it takes like 3 seconds max. Used to zone in already almost landing at the tower. |

| Yet Another Catalyst Test (YACT) Mod Test Blizzard UI: 5.06s Blizzard UI + CTRaid: 5.75s Blizzard UI + CTRaid + NurfedUIBeta: 8.08s Blizzard UI + Catalyst: 2.97s Blizzard UI + CTRaid + Catalyst: 3.29s Blizzard UI + CTRaid + NurfedUIBeta + Catalyst: 3.38s Notes: - All Catalyst tests are Catalyst+ACE (optional dep) - These times were gathered by zoning into Ragefire Chasm 3 times and taking the lowest value (to prevent false data from caching) - Catalyst offers a timer, but I feel that my times while higher are more accurate and consistent with times taken when Catalyst is not loaded. |
