Today BOB revokes all standings with all other corporations or alliances. Things have settled into a state of stagnation. These systems so far from the core should not be so peaceful. It is an aberration, an imbalance, something that has to change. We remember old acquaintances, the good and the bad. However, just as true warriors will joyfully spill each others' blood, we will not hesitate to fight old friends. This is a good change.

To the world of EVE we give the gift of conflict. Let our eyes light up to welcome it.

The regions of Fountain, Delve, Period Basis, will no longer allow travel through or visits. Active as of friday downtime, you are set back to 0.0. This will not change anytime soon.

Translation: BoB, one of the strongest - if not the strongest - corp alliance (guild) has just all-but-declared war on the rest of the playerbase.

Because they felt like it.

There are a few regions, made up of many systems and many more areas. Player alliances control 0.0 regions, basically lawless areas with the strongest NPC characters and the richest minerals (basically best loot / cash / industry materials).

BoB - Band of Brothers, is one of the top alliances out there. They have traditionally just basically taken whatever they want, tho having made some pacts with others it's allowed them an easier time then they'd like you to think.

Basically, they control some of the best regions in the game without resorting to very high "guild" membership levels, are respected pvp'rs and basically rutheless if you piss them off.

Think of this as old school veeshan, with FoH running the show and systematically telling every other player on the server, we're coming so prepare your ass for the hurt that's coming.

EVE is very territorial. People claim areas for the ability to mine there, named NPCs that spawn in the area etc.

600 people blob = low membership ? I'd hate to see a zerg alliance by your standard then
last week bob & friends besieged a system for 4 or 5 days in a row with 200+ people in system 24hours a day. Which is impressive, unfortunately the server cannot handle battle of that size (600 vs whatever) so they pretty much did not fight at all during this siege.
