as for the state of the game right now, it is an interesting time. with the G/TRUST merger alliance forming, and BoB declareing war on the eveverse, and RA dyeing in the south. there are plenty of alliances that can match bob in terms of members, but few who can match them in their organization. that is one of their big advantages. they have few corps in their alliance, but those corps are large and mostly vets. that gives them the advantage, because they have to coordinate with much fewer entities. they also have the capital ship advantage, which makes them completely overpowering against a less organized alliance, especially when they are on the offensive. but, whoever said that bob cant take much more space is right. they just dont have the numbers to secure it. i could see them empire building though. go knock down an alliance, then set up a puppet in their spot, but dont see that as what they are aiming for. mebbie they just want to go wreak havoc out in space. i am as much interested in the politics and thoughts behind them as much as the actual game.

| Finding a corp that is a good fit for you is critical in my opinion, also deciding early what kind of a pilot you want to have is important. First of all while you are in Empire space, make sure to run the storyline mission, it give you a nice implant. Early on (and this is my opinion) divert as much of your ISK to buying your skillbooks, eventually you will want a large majority of them, but early on, looking at the book and deciding which ones you feel will help you create the direction of your pilot over your first few months in eve. Also, please buy all your learning type skill books, I know this will drive alot of you crazy (hell I didn't do it) but getting some Memory points early on into your pilot will dramtically cut down on all learning skills time. Most of all enjoy your time in Empire, get your tactics down for engaging target and meet other pilots, there are alot of seasoned pilots that will be happy to help you out and give advice (there are a lot of pilots out there also that will tell you to stfu fuckin n00b I'll pod ur ass)...you know, it's an mmo. | Both EVE and this thread remind me far too much of that DOOM custom-box blog. "Day 612: I finished capitulating the decadihydron rotator module, so I was able to quick-glue my dick to my anus." Sunshine 4tw.

From time to time we will have 1 on 1 wargames in T1 frigates, and its astounding at how well a character with a few months on you or with a heavier specialization towards piloting and fighting can litterally fly circles around you in the exact same ship, set up the exact same way. They can turn the ship tighter and faster if they have a higher evasive manuvering skill, or can lock you faster is they have a higher signature analysis then you etc. etc. And honestly the greatest thing about it is, fuck it, if you don't feel like playing or want to take some time off, your character is always getting better (as long as you remember to always be training something, fuck it, set a desired skill and log off, come back a few days later and poof you have gained a new level in your decadihydron rotator module. No need to poopsock to make your pilot better 4tw.
