If you keep a char in sleeper mode and just train all the learning skills up and the basic/boring skills like Engineering, Electronics etc. while you're playing another game, once you get bored of it (in WoW's case once you open your eyes) you'll be in good standing to start playing Eve actively. The game doesn't hand everything to you on a silver platter though so you'll have to realise that before you even consider it.

I just started a couple weeks ago and am basicly spending most of my time sitting in the station getting skills up, i did the tutorial and blew most of the money on skill starters.

I am just running most of the skills to lvl 3/4 to start with, and am hoping to be able to run combat missions while i work on the longer duration trains.

Yeah I couldnt believe the message at the end of that comic. BoB definately feels threatend by the goons or else they wouldnt be going through such lengths to make Goons look so bad. So attack irl and sway public opinion instead of wageing a real war against Goons. Either way Im all for the goons.

The biggest reason I love eve is because the low time commitment and 23/7 population means I can come home from the bar and do some pew pewing for fun before i go to bed.

eve is by far the best mmo to play casually (provided you arent an idiot)

all the drama makes it interesting, its like watching a real life soap.. much more interesting than the zomg first world kill shit in wow.

Sup guys few questions. My charc is prolly about a month old, i have 800k sp and im all caladari ships/missles.

I made a post on the eve recruit forum. Im curious as should i just join a corp to get out of the newb one(swa), i've been browsing the recruit forum and alot of replies ppl get seem to be just cut and paste , not actually looking at the post. Im curious if bad to just jump into one of these, or try and hold out for somethind decent?

Im skilling up to fit and fly a ferox properly as i want to start doing lvl 3 missions and get the hell out of empire space(its so boring). I tried to do a 4/10 last night in my carcal, i had to warp in and out taking the 50k+ bounty guys out 1 at a time, and it took forever. I want to start seeing other aspects of eve , hell ill even suicide in a t1 frig in pvp.

P.s. Maybe any hints on a good newbie corp? Or some decent ones you've heard about?
