Here's my dilemma:

I'm bored with the game after 1 month.

After 5 days I was in GoonFleet and flying around in 0.0. I now own a Ferox, Blackbird, Caracal, Osprey, and a few more unmentionables. I have the ability to make 3-5 million isk per hour by ratting or mining but it's generally boring and probably much easier just to purchase isk off of Ebay since it's so cheap. I just don't see the overall picture here. I understand that my corp is currently located in Syndicate and has been in a fight with NBSI alliance and others for control. We're currently fighting a war up north somewhere but I'm too busy to attend.

What really gets me is that every system looks the same with the only difference is that different corporations that may or may not inhabit each. I'd like to fly better ships but it's going to take months of training just to get there. For example, I'd like to fly a recon ship. It will take training around 4 skills to 5 which could take anywhere from 1 month to 2 months. So what do I do in the time being? Run mind numbing missions? Farm crokite? Run around and occasionally find a ship to kill that will most likely yield nothing?

I'm thinking about canceling.

Reading all about EVE reminds me of 3D version of Aftermath. Log on, take my turns, and see you tomorrow.

Well I'm stuck in Delve, surrounded by BoB, with about 300 items and a Taranis with 120 cargo bay.

Only good things can happen from such a situation.

3-5 million an hour in 0.0? Your Ferox should handle 0.0 BS spawns with the right setup, battleship NPC's have up to 1.8m bounties (non-faction or officer spawns). If you can't handle them a Raven doesn't take long to train, which wtfpwns all NPC spawns.

Well, if you don't have time to play the game, you might indeed as well cancel, NBSI has been pretty much dead for a while now (2 months ?). As you said all the systems are close to be the same, then players do whatever they want with them.
For someone with no PvP experience, using a recon would be stupid, those are among the most expensive and most difficult to play, of course you could just ebay them as you said, it's just a little over 30$ per ship (200M to fit a falcon)! If spending $ is not a problem for you, you can just buy a char on official forums.

Too busy to attend meaning I don't have much time on the weekends. During the week is another story.

I think being located in the North right now is a blessing. My little alliance just finnished up a war and with it the PVP went away. Now I am bored. Having a 3-1 kill/loss ratio and the pure adrenalin is something that I find I am craving. In a strange way, the constant PVP both enhanced and ruined the game for me all at the same time. With two accounts, one being combat oriented and one being an industrial player (though training up fora cov-ops), I was mostly concentrating on building my own little ISK empire. Now, I just want to find a new target like some guy down on St. Marks is looking for a needle.

I like my corp and the people in it, but I want more PVP targets. I also want people who understand PVP, like when I ask for a setup suggestion for my mega, I don't get responses like "Try a howie" or "use missles in your two missle slots" etc. I want good advice. I am not sure if that makes sense. My only current targets is the local pirate corp who sit at 200K with tach's, assuming I can actually posit on top of them with my (again assuming) j5b they are going to take their three warp core stab's and warp off, which is not much fun. They do the same thing if they see a tackler. Just warp off.

So, I wonder if that is not what the goonie poster is talking about. Once you get a little taste of PVP, for some people, you just want more of it and everything else just seems bland.

To get back to what I started with, everything that is going on in the North right now is crazy. I'm not sure Eve has seen anything like this since the Xetic break up and maybe not even then. I've lost count how many alliances large and small have broken up and how many phoenixes have been since born from these ashes. Just today I saw F-E announced they were breaking up. EL and 4 other corps formed into "the chosen path" which shortly after left F-E and joined the new "OSS" alliance. So much stuff going on and pure chaos I can only think it must mean a lot of ships to get blown up.

Heh, 327 ships went down yesterday in a system up near Venal. I'd say that yeah, stuff's getting blown up.

Now if there was sort of an online eve-tv, with all the battles and good stories, sign me up.

How is EVE doing in china ? The latest I heard was that they have their own cluster.
