Talk to GMs, tell them what you're doing and where. They'll usually reinforce the nodes in advance if you give them some warning.

As far as I know the node isn't crashing due to load, it's just crashing.

The GM's have reinforced the node for a single fight once ever. BoB's claims that they get it done whenever they plan a major offensive is "Bullshit" in the words of Oveur.

It was done once, and it required special permission to do so because it could fuck up every other node's load balancing. And Oveur basically said they'll never do it again because it was so risky and screwed shit up.

A few days ago we (FLA) went on a big POS busting op, 120ish pilots. The first few jumps half the fleet was lagging out or emergency warping away. Our FC contacted GMs in chat and told them what we were doing and where we were going. GMs said they'd look into it and after that we had 0 lag problems for the rest of the op.

Yeah and I have a bridge on the moon I'd like to sell you.

Been on ops where this has happened. The GMs probably just laughed at you and threw your case away. Most likely you jumped to a different node and thats why your problem went away.

Btw, walking on stations.

I think it's good but it seems that some vocal posters at eve-o are heavily against it.

I worry that it will just make the current station interface more clumsy - instead of just being able to open the service you'll have to enter 3D mode and walk to whatever market or repairshop or science lab. To be honest, that sounds sorta retarded - most of the things I do in a station I just want to finish and get back outside.

I'm not botherd either way by it. If it adds more depth to the game I'm all for it. Most complaints I see revolve around not having enough targets in low sec and how this will make it even worse as people camp out in stations.

Low sec has always puzzled me by how completely worthless it is. 0.0 has all the rewards, Empire is safe and you can slowly generate huge sums of cash there (or quickly if you're smart), so low sec was kind of left out.

They can't nerf Empire or it would be a huge shitstorm, but I still don't know the game well enough to see how much they could buff up low sec It needs it, though.

Missions used to not exist, so there wasn't an easy way to make money in Empire. Lowsec was where "valuable" ore was, so you saw a lot of miners and people in cruisers ratting(if I understand my history).

Now you can make more money running L4s than you can mining in lowsec, so there's no point.

Low-sec belt pvp is kind of dead - if you are a noob go pick on miners in high sec, after you un-noob yourself hit 0.0.

Oh, and it's been said already but i'll say it again - it might take 3 days to train for a cruiser, but it'll take months until you got the pvp savvyness to fly cruisers without killing your wallet.

Does anybody know where one might be able to get some scans of the E-On magazine? Can only subscribe if you have a credit card, wish they'd put paypal options into their online shop.

Alright.. this just seems to be a random obversation I've made but it just seems like corps/alliances in eve are dropping the ball in terms of whats the best for everybody.

In WoW it was always about rewarding the person who put the most effort in, it was the good of the many over the few and that lead to success. Minus a few exceptions this seems like a lost concept in Eve, everybody is out there on their own only helping the bare minimum.

The more I play this game, the more it seems like a determined group of people with a mentality of putting the good of the many over the few will truly decimate the rest of eve.

Greed rules eve, everybody is out to fill their OWN pocket book.

Is this just an obversation I'm making that is limited to my short stint in the game? (Over year now.. but still feels short)

I'd be truly interested in seeing what a determined force that's completed oriented on completing goals that are team oriented rather than personal wealth would be truly capable of.

Um, from your sig, aren't you a member of the Alliance notorious for putting personal wealth above all else? Perhaps there's other corps and alliances that are less ISK oriented.

Shh, it was a general question. I'm well aware of my personal corps affiliation, and part of it's failure can be directly laid on that being an issue. I have also seen quite a few other corps/alliances and how they are managed and I see a very clear trend.

Alliances born of war become fat, forget the reason why they became what they are and fall flat on their faces.

Theres maybe a handful of alliances out there that seem to really "get it", and even fewer that seem to come in with the defined goal of Alliance being supreme and the individual being on the back burner. It's the only way to become the best at other MMO's.. why is it so commonly ignored in Eve?
