If you were a pure caster, everytime you needed to meditate to regen mana (several minutes between each fight in many cases), you ended up staring at this:

Freeport and Neriak right there. EC Tunnel for life!!

As for cockblocking expansions happening - depends entirely on the mechanics assuming its as I'd presume (1 kill on the expansion boss unlocks the next) it would be shooting oneself in the foot to cockblock.
Think about release.. there was Nag and Vox and then Cazic and Inny i believe

Ah, hopefully I'll have time to spare for EQ when this happens. It's not the same , of course, since now I know everything pre-GoD like the back of my hands but, I figure it's still worth a shot. When Stromm was brought online, I truly enjoyed the first 6 months, when the server was still new and different - even though I had already experienced all that content once. It was just fun. I especially enjoyed the competition between the raid guilds. If this will turn out to be anything like Stromm, I strongly recommend this.

Not looking forward to making VT key again, though.

Difference being that you could skip things like Nags and Vox and go directly to higher level content on Stromm. This will hopefully allow players to see stuff they normally would skip cause there was always better things somewhere else.

Wonder what determines the trigger for each expansion though. To unlock Velious, do you have to clear VP or just Trak? To unlock PoP do you have to clear Vex, or just kill Emp? That little detail could most definately increase the time between unlocking new content.

ECom tunnel was the best auction/market spot.

1) Shady Swashbuckler was there, allowing for vendoring (or item recharge) need be. You'd be surprised the nice things you could find on him from time to time. You could also kill him for entertainment.

2) It was near the banks for evil + good races. Druid and wizard ports were nearby. This made large cash transactions alot easier to do.

3) Early on, it's location near solb/lguk was a factor.

4) It looked like a shopping bazaar. Walking the tunnels was almost like a mall of sorts.

Gfay was teh suck. Fun fact: Cazic Thule had the first bazaar, which took place in Qeynos Hills on a Saturday (It was organized I believe by Kat, who you may know better as the WoW CM back in beta). The next bazaar took place in Ecom tunnels, where it ended up staying permanently because no one wants to run to Qeynos ;p

True, we did skip kunark mostly and started with velious. I do miss dragon raids, though, so this will hopefully be even better experience than Stromm.

All the new non-expansion features will be there like chat channels, LFG, and new UIs
No staring at spell books... TL Gnomes instead of boats... Nerfed items coming into the game as the nerfed version.

This would tend to insinuate that zone revamps like Splitpaw and Cazic Thule will be there though... and that doesn't seem reasonable. And what about Odus? Will there even be a Paineel at first? Or the Hole?

It's not Sony's fault you didn't take advantage of the high stakes, thrilling game of /gems!

Cazel was introduced after Kunark when they added the epic quests.

Unless you're thinking of the named SG in Sro...But I doubt it, nub!

This makes me cry. Also, looks like you were working on Alteration or something.

On my server, the market was in EC. We had Maldan, whom everyone from Lanys should recognize the name of.
