I didnt read the article, so I am unsure if they will allow the PoK portals or not. They unlocked them for folks without PoP on the regular servers so unsure how this will work.

I know some folks feel this is such a "great" idea...but how do you reclaim that noob feeling from yrs ago? EQ began 5 yrs ago for me...learned about training mobs to safe area(guards) the first night outside FP. Fear TeH Orc Pawn!!!!

Seriously...it could never be the same. I lost my bod the first few days of playing...now I would know better. Even if I did lose corpse, I wouldnt freak outside Befallen begging folks to grab the few brass/FS items I had. Let alone thinking "I dont care what orientation you are" when hearing someone shouting they are "Proud to be a twink" in EC.

You just cant recapture those days in a previously played game IMO. Would take a totally different game. Part of the reason I feel we all come to FoH to read...hoping to find that magical game that makes us feel like a noob again.

I really don't see waiting in line for the good experience spots being very fun. It wasn't even fun when EQ was in it's heyday.

Never quite understood the EC Tunnel bit. On my server the market of choice was always greater faydark.

I imagine that all they will keep locked is the actual zone and level content. Things like class changes that effected the lower level game will still be present as per the current version of the client.

I really doubt that - with the level cap being open and much better gear/AA available and a highly experienced crew it took us 100 days to get to RZtW during PoP era - lower level cap and slower release of content availability etc is gonna make it take longer to get there.

As for cockblocking expansions happening - depends entirely on the mechanics assuming its as I'd presume (1 kill on the expansion boss unlocks the next) it would be shooting oneself in the foot to cockblock.
