+5 Internets | The more I think about it, the more it seems like an interesting idea. Not a good idea, or a bad idea, but an interesting one. One thing for sure is that it wont be the old EQ1 we remember. But it will be very interesting to see how people react to the world after getting used to all the mudflated stuff. Hell, 90% of the old world gear didnt even have +hp/+mp stats on them. There was alot more choice of items because different things had different stat sets, and I dont think it was even possible to max out all of your stats. Then theres the fact that you have 2 high level dungeons that people will be in, causing everyone to be in everyone's face. A very strange thing to many people who are used to instances. I will definantly play for awhile. I know it wont be oldschool EQ, but it might just be different enough, yet the same, to keep me playing. Oh, and then theres the interesting factor that for alot of people, they dont even know the old world. Many started playing after PoP, so they wont know the details of any of it. So it may not be where everyone has knowledge of everything, and us old old schoolers might have an edge. Last edited by Zuuljin : 04-08-2006 at 11:04 AM. |

+14 Internets | The mid level Armor sets Like Warriors Crafted were not in the game originally were they?.I rememebr spending alot of time gathering Bronze armor and wearing that through the 30's so I am guessing they were not.I can't see myself wearing bronze when that stuff was available.I think ,at least in the case of Crafted it was better than rubicite..other than maybe the BP. I know the SK set ,at least part of it required farming CT cause I did that on my Iksar SK.Maybe they came out with Kunark? I don't remember. In any case there has been alot added to the old world zones that never existed even in Luclin era let alone Kunark/Velious. It won't be any where near the same. Seems like a lot of coding required, thats alot of shit they'll need ot have turned off and stuff. |

| mid level armor was put in after rubicite was taken out, hence only chain+ classes got it, since thats who used the rubicite. now what i want to see is a old world progressive server with old school rallos rules. item loot etc man that would be the cat's meow |

| has sony made any announcement on when this is planned to go live? I imagine it wouldn't take too long to get up and running im currently playing WoW eq2 and eq1, none of them really can keep me addicted, I usually end up grinding on one of them for a week then burn out, and go back to killing retards on socom online... I missed out on original EQ and didnt even start playing till the end of luclin, then i quit mid-pop. So for me this would be like a refreshing tour of eq that I missed..
