There's a reason for everything. I'm not trying to justify 3 10-item sets of resist gear, but inventory management exists for the same reason most other game mechanics do. |
This isn't meant to be sarcastic, but honestly, what is the reasoning behind forcing players to manage their inventory when things like cooldown timers on potions, being 'locked' into gear once you enter combat, shared cooldown timers, etc, etc, exist in the game that put limits on what you can do with your inventory and gear.
If it was something like Diablo where you could chug health pots like it was water, sure, I could understand, but I don't see what purpose inventory management serves in this game other than to annoy players.
