| More rumours, these ones even more unconfirmed than the Kotaku newsbite. |

It will be interesting to see what happens to anyone currently subscribed to SWG and if they get some type of compensation or keep some type of account with the new game.

Who keeps giving Raph money? I haven't played NGE SWG, but is it possible they're trying to change SWG or prepare it for a change so that if they lose the SW license they can make minor adjustments to make it their own brand of sci-fi?

| SWG was initially based on Brad McQuaid's concept to fix was "wrong" with EQ. It failed and everyone with previous experience on the vision (tm), expected it to fail. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to repair a game that was broken from very beginning, so the decision to pull the license to prevent further damage was logical. It really makes me wonder when people praise McQuaid as the savior of online gaming when his last project for SoE finally gets shut down after years of struggling.

| Timeline: one year and X months after Vanguard launches: "Hi, my name is Lucifer McSatan, and I'm the CEO of the newly-formed 'Microsoft Online Entertainment' (or MOE for short). I'm in charge of running the new team that is taking over Vanguard's development, and I'm looking forward to improving the game experience for all players. On a sadder note, i would just like to wish Brad McQuaid well now that he has left Sigil, and his loss will be a significant blow for the new team we are putting together here to further improve Vanguard" ![]() |

| SWG should go in the MMOG textbook under "what happens when you try too many rewrites". It is a little pathetic that it's been such a failure even though it had the SW MMOG license and was launched pre-WoW. |
