I know of a few NFL football players that play a lot of these games. Especially one's with family while others on the team are doing it up LT style on the road.

I think people would be surprised here who people really are in real life. Two posters/readers on this forum I know used to play for the NFL.

Curt had a human monk. Shoryuken Voxslayer I think. I do remember some streetfighter move being a part of that ;p If you can find a really old issue of Computer Games Magazine, they have SS of his monk going "HOLY SHIT" in Plane of Innovation ;p

Although on that note, I'll just ask him heh.
Heh, what was it . . Ssorn's XTC thread? That was some good stuff.

I always thought Emil was a stand up guy and easy to work with. Ssorn was an idiot though.

More info and a photo of the "elaborate four-monitor computer system" he takes to spring training here.

I kind of want to go to the Fan Faire now =(

It is cute that he uses the Z-Board (at least in that picture) with the EQ2 insert. I got one for free from a fan faire a couple years back. It's a decent keyboard I suppose, but the stupid insert crams the keys a little too much to make room for useless hotbuttons that I never used at least.

The name was Scythehands on the EQ1 monk. Grimmlock was correct ;p

This idea of publicism not only helps draw in people for Sony but even more people to the MMO world. Instead of seeing gaming communities such as WoW hit 6 million you may see it grow to 10 mill.

This is not only a good idea for Sony but a better idea for the gaming community aswell. It increases our community and makes us stronger as a whole. Not only that but it makes me able to say "50 FUCKING DKP MINUS!!" in RL without being ashamed of how much of a nerd I am.
I was rather surprised that Blizzard didn't pick up dave chapelle as a celebrity endorser of WoW.

They tried to, but Dave wouldn't leave his monitor. Not to film another season of the chapelle show and most certainly not to wander around schill-ing (OH MY GOD EVEN HIS NAME HAS SCHILL IN IT) WoW.

That's pretty funny, on Druzzil one of my guildleaders was an SOE attorney, and an officer for the other high-end guild on the server was lead council for Gillete.

A guild leader I had in EQ was a proctologist, named Difficile Colitus.

Since the thread has been fully derailed already...

Sssorn was a decent guy but went way overboard with things, I seem to remember him starting some drama in bots for a while also. He and someone else that I can't remeber the name of (I see the name here occasionally) came over when we were working on setting the sleeper free. Sss stayed and the other guy went back to his server.

Emil was an awesome guy. I wish my wow guild was half as fun as bots was. At the time we were keeping up with content with all the others so we didn't need any strats from Sss. What is this ventari arrow strat? We didn't use that at all.

Christ that was a long time ago, I can't even remember the name of the expansion we were on when I left eq and bots.

Not that surprising. Generation "X" grew up with video games, many grew up with D&D, etc., so it shouldn't be too surprising to see many (myself included) professionals playing mmorpgs or video games in general. Just because we grew up didn't mean we grew out of our hobbies.

Basically you just had 1 MT on Vent with the healers out of LOS. Everyone else was pure ranged DPS...so if you werent a caster, that meant bows. Being a monk in that fight sucked, my contribution to the fight was basically

You hit Ventari for 10 points of damage!
You hit Ventari for 3 points of damage!

Summoned Shurikens for the lose ;(

Worked out though, I got the only shroud on the server ;P
