Cause I don't want to ever have to communicate in anyway with a guy shouting "LFMOER FRO MONASTRY PLS PLS SEND EM A TELL!!11!!one". I don't want to ever ask him a TP, or sell him something, or group with him or anything. So I usually /ignore that kind of person.

It's probably just me being an ass.

I've been able to clear my ignore list every month or so - by that time the people on it have stopped trying to send tells, at least so far.

Waste of effort on my part. Sorry, but the legacy of shitheads is less important to me than the ability to remove them from my gameplaying experience. The ignore list, for me, is a "this person did something shitty" list, and limiting it in WoW is more than a touch of wishful thinking.

The friends list has a limitation too.. I tried to add all my raid members to my friends list so I could invite them when they came online (multiple guilds involved) and ran into the "you can't add anymore friends" quite quickly.

With wow's playstyle you'd think they'd build a tool into the interface that allowed for certain guilds to be allied or flagged as friends.

it means weeeks from now, when Ive forgotten who the hell this person is, I will either not even see their request to join my group, or ill notice that im ignoring them and realize i had declared them a shithead for some reason.

its a nice tool to just have a list of people you do not want to play with.

And looking elsewhere? Im playing the game right now..... I guess I could log off..

Dude you have not one, not two but THREE kids.Believe it or not but i think that helps you strongly to deal with the WoW people.Nerves of steel!

Infinite Ignore is must have. I dont give a shit about the snubbing, in fact it would be better if they didnt know they were being snubbed so they might waste their time more and be less likely to try and get a 3rd party to get around the ignore.

I just dont want to see bullshit from beggars and dumbfucks and I dont want to unknowingly deal with them at some point down the road.

I do like the mod that removes any line or emote with chuck norris in it from chat. Thats a must-have these days.

What I want is a reverse ignore list, as in I should be able to turn off ALL private messages.

Make it a bit editable, like IGNORE: *ALL* PLAYERS FROM: LEVEL 1 TO LEVEL 30

As a priest it's very annoying to login with thousands of messages like that, or CHECK OUT OUR NEW GOLD PRICES!!1111oneone. 5 SILVER PLS

I would imagine all classes get these tells.

I coded a MOD back when I was still playing that auto-filtered any tell that was not from my guild and sent an auto-reply telling them leave me alone. Worked pretty well but I don't have it any more. It is probably still out there somewhere though.
