NCSoft blatantly rips off Blizzard with Dungeon Runners

When I saw the screens from Dungeon Runners I just had to laugh. Granted these are meant to be very very early developmental screens shown at a tradeshow to give people a vague idea of what their next big thing is meant to entail... but everything about this screams "knockoff".

Imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery. My god they even have the bloody ubiquitous pumpkin patch

I definately had the exact same thoughts when I saw those screenshots. Everything about this game visually goes far beyond mere imitation.

I guess theyre going for a "WoW Killer" lolzers

As much as a rip-off that is, it'd be pretty stupid if a company had to settle for a crappy interface for a game just because the WoW interface is "copyrighted." MMORPGs rip each other's ideas off all the time, and I'd like to think that the genre benefits as a result.

The environment reminds me more of Fable than WoW. They're definitely going for an anime-style with that character.

That health/mana frame and "!" is pretty fucking blatant, though.

Very close in style, however this game seems to lack WoW's trademark acid trip colours.
