That was the big reason that our "Trial of the Isle" ended up with the 1 zone and 2 instances that are there. It definitely wasn't because we didn't want people to see more. Ideally, we'd love to get them into the towns. Opening it up to the next potential set of zones (50 or so) means a much, much larger download. It's not totally out of the question for the future, though. - S.

+11 Internets | maybe setup one of those penny dvd's similiar to what best buy tries to upsell you at the counter? or something similiar for a limited price. while beta opportunities are nice for people to get an idea of the game, once it goes live and onces more player friendly changes are in the people that dont already have access cant test it out to see if it might be their bag.

+1 Internets | This sounds great. I'll definitely play this over CS Source when i'm in that rare shooty mood. Had a lot of fun times in the beta, but it just wasn't worth paying per month. I loved playing those huge battlesuit guys with the jump packs and jumping onto the top of a transport carrier and just unloading onto it until it explodes killing everyone inside. |

| Hehe Kody, you sure about that? Strikers and Phoenixes seem to have a permanent lock on me whenever I exit the tower in my Vanu max. The 4 million vehicles running around also completely dominate every max suit, even the "AV" ones. :\ |

+1 Internets | Just about every infantry carries throwaway rocket launchers. was pathetic to be in this huge, slow suit of armor and some little wimp bozo blows you up zigzaging behind walls and you don't have the speed to keep up just hoping you nail him enough when he dodges out to take him down. Maxes are not very dominating for an armored battle suit, plus you can't load up on one from an AMS, got to get it from a nearby tower or base

| The only time MAXs are dominating is in the inside battles where there's nowhere to hide and the firepower of the MAX really comes into play. Decimators are way, way too powerful inside though.. it's why 90% of inside battles are fought by rexo decimator/heavy combos. |

| PS still sucks because in spite of fixing almost every single thing that was wrong with the game at release (which is impressive and I congratulate them) they still have not put in a reasonable death penalty. CS is arguably one of the most successful FPS’s out there has a death penalty, you die you sit out the map. In PS you die you just instantly respawn and zerg, zerg, zerg. If they put in a reasonable death penalty and upped the repurchase times for vehicles/MAX’s/BFR’s/etc. to reasonable levels this game would be great to play. Given this addition of “fodder” they are only making the issue of zerging worse. |

+1 Internets | Really the zerging tends to be a real saving grace actually, Large scale battles are what PS was aiming for, something you don't see in CS which is more geared for squad level. PS you can have battles that go on for hours over a single spot, CS its bam your dead, game over, new game? Think of it as more massive armies pushing against each other What they really need to improve upon is the game engine itself, needs a bit of updating I think.

There are a variety of ways to use a death timer that would not be overly draconian to people but would reduce zerging and create a reason to organize into squads and apply tactics to be successful at the game.
