| Paladin Builds So I wanted to start a 1.9 paladin build thread. Personally, I had several ideas for paladin builds in 1.9, and I'm going to go for the Healadin route for the moment. The healing paladin is really at the zenith of his power with the holy changes, its possible to get 15-20% crit to heal, and with the guaranteed freebie every 2 minutes, paladins really can heal nearly forever. I doubt they will ever seriously exceed priests as primary healers, but in long fights where paladins can restore their mana pool quickly with Judgement and Seal of wisdom, they can certainly keep alot of people healed. There are a couple good pvp builds out there, that I would like to see shared, and some people in the FoH IRC channel were claiming that a spellpower heavy Seal of Righteousness build could achieve 250ish PVE dps, so lets see what people come up with.

| I would love to see more info like this on this board - but it seems like they end up in the rickshaw. There is so much bad advice on the official boards that it drowns out the 2% of the posts that are informative. How are people hitting 15-20% on crit heals? Personally I plan on making a critadin with some points in holy, since I solo 90% of the time.

| 31 into holy is pretty much the only way to go now, considering blizzard lowered BoK and put divine favor higher up. Which I personally think is fucking stupid, but thats for another thread. Anyways, is it honestly that hard to figure out your own talent setup? This is World of Warcraft, not rocket science.

Holy/prot 31/20 is pretty good for group pvp. I have never like retribution. It is like buying a honda civic and throwing a bunch of money into it to try to make it a fast car. | |

| base 5, 5 from talents = 10% Azuresong Mageblade/Jindo's Hexer Dragonslayer Signet those are just two items off the top of my head, I know theres some more +crit that a paladin doesnt mind wearing, and of course its plentiful if you are willing to sacrifice some plate. Furthermore, post 1.9, judgement is truly the sickest thing for Paladins. +dmg and healing instead of just +healing means its the set for every paladin there is.

| Personally, I'm abandoning my paladin despite the nice changes to the talents. 3g for a four hour raid on top of plate repair costs? No thank you.

+1 Internets | There really is only one way to spec, it seems... I've been toying with the new talent calc and it just doesn't seem feasible to do anything other than the obvious 31/20. Reckoning would be nice to have, but you might as well play to strengths and just leave the melee skills alone altogether. They have some pretty abilities in ret, but nothing worth throwing out BoK for. My character would now have no repentance, but a faster HoJ, holy shock (for insta heal/nuke) and BoK. I'd call that a fair tradeoff. Nevermind a whole shitload of other bonuses (like 5% crit heals) Anyways... http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...00000 0000000 |
