| DDO Beta/preorder offer Quote:
i think turbine is overestimating how well this title will sell when it hits stores, it will probably do well but, not WoW well, and they aren't doing themselves any favors by limiting pre-order beta access. | |

| It's funny how much people expect now for just preordering, which doesnt actually give the developer or publisher any additional money. An item, days of beta, not enough! We demand hot naked models visit our houses if we preorder a game--and stay for longer than 10 days! Last edited by Griffon : 12-23-2005 at 09:12 PM. |

| and headstart access which i think they say is 4 days of playing release before "release"..in 4 days you can be outta the newbie areas and in the marketplace - hell if you can put in 4-6hrs a day you will be atleast 5th level- if you meet up with a group and play together in adventures day 1 - make char- do tutorial, harbor and dive in on the quests in next section do quests and get access to marketplace & attached areas there... end the day ~2.3 to 3rd level day 2 quests quests quests... get to atleast 4th level- maybe get access to another area or 2 day 3 repeat day 2 get to 5th or 6th day 4 repeat... release day when the newbie areas are crowded, you will be in the less crowded area as to how many boxes ddo will sell...imo about eq2 numbers.(300k or there abouts) maybe more, the game imo is quite good and superior (except for the ui) to where eq2 was at release. | Am I the only one that things the whole "Pre-order and we'll let you in Beta!" thing as being at least a little desperate? Same thing with NDAs to a certain point, the longer and stricker the NDA applies before ship, the more I think the game will be poor. |

| Don't these fuckers understand? If you want your game to do well, have one of your lead developer's reply to every post about your game on fohguild.org, and then say that you agree with every poster while answering questions with vague answers. When will they learn.

| The only reason this game is going to be fun for me is because I know absolutely nothing about it. If I was in the beta or they didn't have NDA's, I'd probably already be well aware that it's just another mmo...but I don't know that - so I must buy it. |

| They see it as 40 levels, not ten. Depending on how they curve the exp then it won't matter that you can get to level 5 so quickly. Although d20 smoothed it out, and this is based on d20, in the old systems the amount of exp to go from 8 to 9 was the same as it was to go from 1 to 8. I wouldn't panic just yet.
