I never liked spread heals. They're cheesy and take no skill to use. I'm glad they're doing something to encourage using other forms of healing.

At least you could tell who was a spread heal spammer pretty easily, they were always oom.

Patch notes look pretty cool. I've been thinking about picking up DAoC again, I miss the realm comraderie and real realm vs realm PVP.

Nice additions. Last time I played DAoC I was having so much fun in the battlegrounds that everytime I got close to leveling out of one I'd go out into the frontiers and repeatedly suicide against purples until I was 0 XP into my current level.

I just started playing again myself on Gareth(Classic Server). This patch has alot of nice stuff that they've added to RVR and other things. 1.82 should bring even more changes. It's too bad it took them so long to listen to their players.

I play this game as well, the only downside is that i'd rather watch a broken t.v. screen than PvE in this game. I have a 50 shaman on mid/lance if anyone is interested in buying/trading for it.

I'm having lots of fun on the Classic servers. This patch has a lot of nifty stuff and a huge nerf to ToA for those who care.

The PvE treadmill is still dull as it can be, but 10x faster than how it was. And some of the newer content isn't even that bad (ToA to an extent, Darkspire and the reskinned Darkness Falls).

The graphic (surprisingly for an old game) is also rather pretty nowadays. Some of the new zones are the best you can see in a game right now.

(some examples here, here, here. The very best stuff like the last DR dungeon and Darkspire are missing, though)

Quite nice screenshots, I especially like the npc (?) eyes, seem to be way better than what I saw from vanguard.

Insane textures >>> insane polygons + insane shadows... too bad most developers don't realize this.

Question, how long would it take a new player to get up in levels and would it be worth starting from scratch?
