Be odd to see a Raven in PvP with cruise fitted instead of torps. Depends on what it is planning to do I suppose.

But that's the beauty of Eve, there is no one 'right' answer. Play with set-ups and find one that works for you.

Intersting - I do not prefer torps expect in small groups where you can fly with a gankaraven. Basicly, T2 sieges, nosses and t2 percision torps - middle filled with inv fields, em hardener, xlarge sb, amp and a injector.

So I use in large scale PVP and PVE cruises and only in gank squad a t2 torp raven.

In any other fleet PVP, raven is pretty much considered a EW platform nowdays so usign cruises is better choise than torps. In all fleet battles I have been lately, Ravens have been called primary right after Scorps due this - and having slow ass torps and expensive torp fit isn't a good idea.

Actually, the cruise setup for a Raven is preferable these days as torp damage to cruisers and that sized ship and smaller are pathetic. Cruises do a bit better damage, at least against cruisers\hacs.

With frigs\inties as your adversary in a Raven, you nos em and then let the drones do the deed OR missiles against a non-MWDing intie still hurt quite a bit and can bring em down as well.

Torps in fleet battles are too slow to hit anything really. Use cruise so you can fire at primary or secondary targets and know your missiles will hit.

Interesting info there. Been about 6 months since I played and starting to get the itch to re-activate and pull the ole Raven out of mothballs.

is there a free trial? the only trial i saw said you need some code a'la station cards so i gave up pretty quick

Nos isn't going to keep a projectile turret from firing, right? <3 that minmatar intie. I think it's the fastest ship in the game minus a shuttle.

Proj do use some cap, if you're nossed enough then it can prevent an arty / ac from firing. That's pretty much only in a 6cycle heavy nos attacker who knows how to refresh.

It is all but impossible to keep a frigate from firing autocannons.

however, it is also impossible for a frigate firing autocannons to live long against 5 ogres while webbed and being nosed to hell.
