| EverQuest: The Beginings? Anyone else want an EQ server where everything starts fresh? I think it would be sweet and would definatly re-subscribe to play on a server or two where everything was just starting off again. Expansions could come out for the server after a while and what not, I dunno, i think it would be sweet to start over again. People will argue that everything will be beat to quickly because everyone has already done it, this may be true, anyone see a way of fixing this? Anyone even think Sony would go this route ever? |

| Actually I think it would be a great idea, but without limiting the expansions, that would never happen. Servers have people with such a rediculous amount of AAs and gear that someone starting now could never compete with, even if they used to play a while back. This would give a fresh opportunity to re-release EQ to new players and recover some of the old ones. |

+3 Internets | It would be interesting, but nostalgia for the good old days and actually going back to the good old days rarely meet expectations. It would be kind of fun though if they released a monthly fee free version of the original EverQuest, without GM support, with the old UI's and tutorials and such. |

+62 Internets | HAY GUYS, I THINK THEY NERFED JBOOTS THIS WEEK. If you really want to go re-live the original EQ experience, go out to a bar and meet a couple new people, and then smack your nuts with a hammer for 7 hours a night, every night, for the next 5 years. Oh, and stop bringing this topic up every month you faggots. |

+5 Internets | Damn, like 6 replies and Soy, Utnayan, and Zehn already summed up what I was going to say. :/ Seriously, forget it. 90% of the hardcore EQ'rs who go on and on about how awesome it was would quit within the first month. |

| Make it PvP with no expansions, RZ style, with item loot. Sign me up.

Most of the board members that started playing EQ2 on Guk also stopped playing. I'm still there but Guk was also my home server to begin with. Honestly, these nostalgic restarts never seem to work. They build up for a month and then "been there, done that" sets in and it loses steam. | |

Let's see you get to level 2 without a nuke! And man, using Tomer Insogule to destroy people's faction by suicide running him than putting them in a death loop when they hit KOS, was also a hoot. I'm probably a bad person for doing that and wanting to do it again.

+30 Internets | They had this server once for a couple days: Full item looting, perma death (you'd end up back at level 1 when you died.) - now that was fun. Remove perma death in raid zones, add a huge exp modifier (500% or so) and make every item droppable. I'd sign up for that. Would definatly have to allow /anonymous though - I think it was turned off on that server. Otherwise you'd have a group of high levels check /who and gank anyone getting close to them. At least with /anonymous you can sneak to rarely visited places. |
