Dispell Change

This got mentioned in some other threads but frankly it deserves its own thread.

Priest dispell rank 1 costs 75 mana, rank 2 costs 125. In 1.9 they both cost 250. Seriously what the fuck? 12 months after release and the bogus mass dispell encounters and the only thing blizzard can come up with is to more than triple the mana cost of the dispel of choice for priests in PVE (rank 1) and double the mana cost of the dispell of choice for PVP (rank 2)?

This is a huge slap in the face to horde especially, as cleanse is only rising to 120 mana, less than half of the priest dispell. If the point of this change is to punish people for spamming dispel using decursive blizzard better think again because its fucking bullshit, especially in PVE.

I wouldn't mind this so much if this meant they were going to address the game mechanic of having bosses turn cheek and shit some random curable debuff over all 40 members of the raid every few seconds.

At level 18 when I got dispel magic rank 1, I think I had about 700 mana. Even at 75 it was very expensive to cast.

why cant they add more ranks or something? and make low level dispell unable to dispell highlvl spells

Its a crappy change, especially for PvE Horde. We have no Cleanse. Dispel is it and its a lot more expensive now.

It seems like this was a knee jerk reaction to PvP people bitching about dispel/purge.
