| 4 weeks of 11am to 4 am play to get grand marshal... is just insane. On our server to progress in FM you need to get standing one every week which means you need to play everyday from 11 am to 4 am. One must literally sacrifice a month of their life to get GM. The requirement of standing 1 4 weeks in a row is just wrong. You should be able to progress in FM from anywhere from standing 1-5. Of course, standing 5 would be extremely slow. On a high population PVP server it may be easier to get GM in regards to standing. Again, to get GM it should not require you to be unemployed, out of school, and have no social life. No game should require those characteristics to get to the highest echelons. |

+6 Internets | meh, we've known this for a while. I've gone through the 7 stages of PvP, and I've moved past grief, denial, depression, anger, and I'm finally at acceptance. I think rank 14 is almost like an easter Egg. In a game where everyone screams than joe blow can get epikz and purplz (I think these arguments are stupid), here's the complete anthesis of casual. One little island of omgwtfbbqhardcore. One day you too will come to accept the complete utter retardeness of the system and move on. |

| When I was a kid I went to one Easter Egg Hunt that really stands out in my mind. We were walking as a group when all of a sudden the people in charge just pointed to the area and said "go!" Had no idea where we were going, no line up, no warning, nothing. I wasn't really paying a ton of attention and got knocked to the ground and trampled. Actually trampled. There was nothing left by the time I got there. That's what this is. I saw the potential rewards, then someone knocked me down and stepped on me. The rewards snatched away. Better luck next year!

+6 Internets | from a business standpoint you'd think they've have eased the restrictions by now. Johnny NoLife pays the same as Casual Sam. In fact Johnny NoLife is more expensive because he's online all day chewing up more than his share of bandwidth. Poor Casual Sam is gonna get fed up and quit though, thus losing his cash. |

| Call me naive, but I've always decided to press on and been determined to move forward even if what I was doing was pretty mind-numbing, because somewhere deep down I was hoping that maybe, one day, in a far off future, Blizzard would implement something that takes in consideration that exact same thing I did back then. I guess I got that fool's hope from EQ, where you would sometimes (in the later years) see SoE implement some crazy good item for people who had accomplished seriously painstakingly difficult / long achievements.. like entering "Club 1750" (IE : Mastering 250 in all Trade Skills), or being allied to this or that faction, etc etc.. |

| Dude on my server, named Ithron, he did that shit for 3 months streight. He did all of it back in the AV days, remeber those days? Ahhh, memories. He literally did just that, got up at 10AM or 11 AM and ground AV's all day, all night untill 3AM-4AM or whenever the last AV of the night played out. Anyways, He was at High Warlord for 2 weeks before the system booted him. Now I rarely see him on. He still plays, but definitely not with the same ferrocity he did back then. The fucker ended up with like 106,000 HK's , imagine that. Thats fucking insane! Im rank 7 right now still trying to get to 8 to get my bluebie tunic and pants. Maybe when I get home I will be surprised, or its back to the grind for another week. |

| PVP heavy guilds on my server are in open conflict with each other over allowing members to progress. A member in my guild made rank 8 and the other resident PVP rank 13 guild leader refused to let any of his guild group with ours. Now people will wait to join a battleground only to find a rival guildmember is there and be FORCED to leave. It's getting out of hand and becoming more annoying then EQ drama. I'm not even a PVP'er. I know this is a MMORPG we are talking about but to be honest I'd be ashamed to be rank 13+. Might as well have a GM change my name to "worthless piece of shit IRL" and make my character look like a huge turd.

| If I could be bothered, I'd look up the threads where people claimed that the rank 14 PvP rewards would cheapen PvE achievements. But I'm endemically lazy. |

+1 Internets | A warrior in my guild just got High Warlord this morning, second on the server(1 before him on Horde, none Alliance so far), after about 4 months of 24/7 PvP. Last week ended with him 97% through Warlord, and he was in a furious rage for like three days over having to PvP for yet another week. Now he's respeccing to Fury and planning to duo Scholomance with a Shaman friend(currently Warlord, with no competition to HW) |
