Eq Lore

This has got to be the best eq lore site I have ever come across.

Excellent page, no doubt. Unfortunately the lore never had much to do with the actual game.

One of the things that I liked about Everquest was the way each zone sorta had it's own backstory and lore. Even though the lore wasn't exactly shoved down your throat, if you chose to read a little bit, a lot of the world made so much more sense. I don't know why I wrote this since I didn't offer any insight into EQ's lore.

I like this site better: Codex of War.
All this other site is, is a compilation of online released lore and ingame books in a fancy website package.

Nothing special.

I used to know the lore of most everything in EverQuest and to this day I still remember quite a bit.. Been thinking of writing it up but I don't find the motivation.. Fun days..

Codex of War has been officially declared '90% Bullshit, 10% stolen from us anyway" by SOE though.

That Codex of War site is very cool, bullshit or not. If I was Sony, I wouldn't have said it was BS even if it was.

The Codex of War used to be right, except that at some point SOE declared that the "old EQ-lore" (Bloody Kithicor and stuff) were "not official anymore" so they could come up with their own, crappy lore. I think that happened pretty much at the same time than McQuaid left the company or something.

Or maybe that's an urban legend, who knows.

Far as I know Kithkor is still the same, and if anything the lore of that is intertwined even more so with Lyns's return.
