| Yeah, I have to admit I like the lay out. Though some of the encounters Ive seen could prove very difficult to standard non MC equipped pick up groups. I can allready see the masses shouting that ZG is too hard and should be toned down. I went with a standard PU group earlier today and we kept wiping to the first boss. Its only a matter of time till we see what the masses say and if Bliz will cave in like they seem to do to the masses. |

| The loot here is crap. We blew through the first 5 bosses, then the 6th destroyed us quite a few times, then we kill her and she drops..... an 18 slot bag, woot?

| The point of Zul'Gurub is so that the people that are coming from UBRS/Strat/Scholo have to gear up inside Z'G to make progress inside of it. It's not supposed to be blown through in a day (unless you're already MC/BWL geared). The 2 1/2 day timer helps a lot with that also. Personally, I love the zone. There's lots of new game mechanics and interesting boss fights. Not to mention, this has been a flawless zone so far with no bugs at all. That gives me hope for Ahn'Qiraj and the future of raid content. |

| The bosses were really fun. Nothing we've run against so far has been that hard, but it was a blast. That Bloodlord guy made for a frantic, but hilarious fight. Edit: We found one bug - some spiders that evaded. But it turned out we didn't have to fight them anyway, I think. Last edited by Vandamar : 09-13-2005 at 10:18 PM. |

| I went with my guild on one of the newer servers tonight. It's only been around a month or something, so there's no MC loot floating around and a lot of people are still wearing some greens. We managed to take down the bat boss after 4 tries and it was definately exciting and fun. I like the zone so far. It looks good and definately provides a challenge for those it is intended for. Great job Bliz. |

So far, we've had the learning wipe, then the fights go pretty clean when you know what to do. We haven't quite figured out how to handle Mar'li best just yet, but she's not rolling us either.

| I disagree. Zul'Gurub is an easier introduction to raid content than the Molten Core, especially since you only need to gather together half the number of people who are on the ball. It's going to be hard for pickup raids, but no harder than a pickup throwing themselves at Magmadar for the first time. I dig these 20 man raids, it's less zergy and more exciting than going around with a pile of 40 people. It actually feels more like a dungeon crawl. I can already foresee that there are going to be synchronization issues for large raiding guilds. The first 20 members to log on will form a Zul Gurub raid. Another 20 will get together and form another later. And than the late people, who are usually slackers and weekend players, will kind of be screwed. Maybe they'll have to get together with leftovers from other guilds to form their own Zul'Gurub raid, perhaps even encouraging some interaction between the high level people among the server. I was worried that Zul'Gurub would be too easy, but I had a lot of fun today exploring it with guildmembers, and the spider boss gave us a good thumping. This is exactly what I wanted to see. |

| The biggest thing that a lot of us are neglecting is the questing system for the set armor. It reminds me of the mold system in Velious but with more depth and more of the quest items being used in not only set armor, but set rings, necklaces, trinkets, etc. It shows a lot of precedent for what Blizzard is hopefully going to do for future raid encounters. Set items are quested for while weapons and other non set items drop from bosses. So you're going to be able to get 2x the drops essentially because you have to quest and get weapons/non set items at the same time. It's a great system and I hope it continues into Ahn'Qiraj and beyond. |

| Hakkar drops some decent shit, I'll give you that. Jindo the Hexxer is an amazing fight, that panther boss is stupid, you're pretty much garaunteed to wipe even if you win.
