+5 Internets | Another WoW article in the NY Times http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/06/ar...gn/06worl.html Sadly this one doesn't have any juicy reporting from Blizzard in it (maybe the Blizzard staffers are still reeling from their horsehead iconography seminar), but it does have some interesting quotes... It's also not surprising that if you rearrange the letters in "Mr. Pachter's" name you get: "S.M.R. Patcher"... Perhaps he works for Sigil, trying to throw us for a loop.

| i read that last statement by mr pachter and just laughed... that person doesn't KNOW mmo players, and doesn't know gamers AT ALL. wonder if he knows wow has a million users in the US alone and i bet wow europe is still around the 750k-1 million mark will the numbers go Down? ayup most definately, but no where near the "one million" mark... imo they might lose 50% of their user base over the next 3 years, but that is about it unless some other "800lb gorilla" comes around. and frankly them being at 2 million users ...still means they are an 800lb gorilla.... |

+15 Internets | CD-ROMs will never replace floppies, they are far too expensive. Btw, here's Mr. Watson selling one of those 5 computers. Danke Mr. Fuhrer...only 4 more to go!

| Sure Mr. Gates, you can retain the rights to the software, the money is all in the hardware anyway.
