Blizzard says OK to Horde imbalance in WSG

Rofl fucking bullshit. The Horde GY wall is a massive advantage. This stance to me just translates as "We are too lazy to modify the zone file to prevent this, deal with it". Is it so hard to add a frickin fence or something?

On my server, a Horde flag runner uses that more then the tunnel or ramp. The only time it really helps alliance is if we are farming their GY before they AFK out or we cap the last flag.

I stopped pursuing WSG some time ago. It's not real PvP since "victory" can be accomplished without even touching another player, it's rife with faggotry in terms of AFK'ing out and exploiting, and it all around just isnt fun.

My biggest gripe with WSG is the rez timers. It needs to either be a set time before you are able to rez, or you rez with low hp/mana. Clearing out the flag room only to have the same people there AE fearing / healing the carrier five seconds later is beyond retarded. Or killing the same people 4+ times on one run from tunnel exit to the other tunnel's entrance (not everyone can be a shaman/druid afterall, pretty easy to catch up to a normal carrier on a mount). You can completely dominate another team, yet still be unable to return the flag because they're zerging out of their GY - it's just lame.

4 times? So it takes you 2 minutes + to run from one base to another?

You know hitting / on the number pad takes you out of "walk" mode right?

Yeah, saw that last night and was pretty surprised they are taking this stance. It adds a shorter quicker way for Horde to get their flag to their room, and another place alliance has to try and defend. How they see this as not giving an advantage is beyond me.

On a side note however, it is really cool to see them finally making a post on a few issues that people have been asking about and just wanted a straight answer. Why it takes months for this kind of response baffles me though.

That was a brilliant reply. Let's get crazy and assume that the opposing team doesn't all magically die at the same instant, meaning they're coming at the carrier staggered - snaring/rooting/fearing/sheeping/stunning/whatever.....because they die and are able to rez with full hp/mana sometimes within a couple of seconds.

That is being resolved in 1.7 patch. So is the Gavel.

The GY exploit is remaining though.

CP isn't even earned anymore through actual PvP.
Well, at least on our server.

Basically you have teams running 20-30 minute wins nonstop in AV - farming it... and of course that means 90% of their killing is against NPCs. Hell you get 5000-6100 CP for killing vannadar, and 13 CP for killing a High Marshal in a raid - which diminishes to 0! EXCELLENT (cause someone might exploit that 13 CP in AV... must have diminishing returns in bg's!)...

PvP atm is neither about skill nor PvP - its about who can play the most, and who can get all the non-retards in a single raid nonstop in AV. Our server's high warlord for the last 5 weeks was a guy who plays 19 hours a day. He got nearly a million CP last week.

I'm glad to know that PvP is almost as fucked up as the PvE in this game... almost. It reassures me that its more of a global issue with the game, and not just the part I care about.

You said kill the same player 4+ times. The rezzes only come every 30 seconds so that would take 2+ minutes. Simple math.

You're assuming the guy first dies and gets to the GY with a 30second wait. Many times you die and pop at the GY with the message, "Ressurection will take place in 2 seconds". Hey look, I'm back in teh battle!
