| Honor reward in Warsong still broken after two months Repeated here from the official forums since it may be even more possibilities to get acknowledged. Original thread: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...=1#post4159432 -- Okay. It's from the middle of May that I rant against this and it's bordering the absurd. The Honor reward for winning the CTF game in Warsong is STILL BROKEN after more than two months and multiple threads spanning more than twenty pages with absolutely zero feedback from the CMs or developers. This is my Honor tab today: ![]() In the last two days I didn't log in so the yesterday tab is showing just the brief session I had in the night: http://www.cesspit.net/drupal/node/838 As I said the session was deep in the night on Mannoroth, around 5AM. There was just one single instance spawning and the exact same group of Horde and Alliance playing. We were able to WIN THREE TIMES IN A ROW in a short time span. Now we all know that due to the retarded diminished return system we didn't got Honor points from the direct kills after the first session since we faced three times just the exact same opponents. But what about the honor reward given by returning the flag? We won three times. Each time grants us 1660 points. Straight and clean and without counting the direct kills of 10 horde players for a minimum of four times. 1660 * 3 = 4980 We MUST have AT LEAST 5000 Honor points as a bare minimum. Plus the kills we did along those sessions. The correct amount would be near 6000-7000 HPs. Now look again the Honor points that the system ACTUALLY granted us: 2521 That's enough for ONE session while we went through it three times. I'd like to receive some "feedback" on this because after two months of reports and demonstations we don't even have the problem acknowledged and if this isn't the duty of a CM I don't know what it is. | Maybe they could hire 2 people to directly fix this problem. I hear WoW is doing pretty good with subscription numbers.

| If WSG Honor is broken, you might want to explain that to the Guilds on my server, both Horde and Alliance, that use WSG as a CP farming tool. To the extent that they /afk out of matches vs other organised groups, afk out if their Free Action Pot loaded Druid is getting shut out, and afk out if the game goes on longer than 5minutes. I've said it before, WSG is a gigantic failure. Not only did it kill outdoor PvP, it can't even do instanced PvP right. |

| As Ive been botting my alt up to 60 I realized quite quickly why WoW is so different from EQ,EQ2, and practically any other MMoRPG that is mainstream, B-Net. While I was botting I got to finally play some DoTA on B-Net and the players there are exactly like the people in WoW that irritate me so much. People there are selfish, short-tempered, impatient, and stupid. Unfortuneatly it has xferred over to WoW =/ |

| You seriously won 3 games with an average of 8 hks per win? 5am eastern? Honor calculations are calculated around 2-3am localtime, so usually playing overnight results in your honor being 'split' across two days. Now I'm not totally sure if that's the case, but based on your previous history of posting, etc, I wouldn't be totally surprised if this is what's happening. |

I haven't played at all today so if some points show up it means they got split. 3AM right now in the game and the honor is still not updated for today. (btw, the average of 8 hks is even possible. The third time we went in we didn't even bother to build the group since we already killed them over and over. And the matches were really fast with easy victories) Last edited by Abalieno : 07-23-2005 at 11:46 PM. | |

| Btw-2 Let's even say that my honor points were split between the two days. So why in the "today" tab I don't have the missing kills from "yesterday"? The game still wasn't updated but, while you made me doubt for a moment, the hypothesis doesn't seem to hold ![]() |

| In all honesty, I seem to remember something about "anti-gimp" code. Basically if you win an instance too fast or easily, the game won't give you any points. This is a serious possibility with your average of 8 HKs per game. |

| Well, too much alarmism and call to arms from my side. I have to be more prudent. The "boy" guy up here was right: ![]() The Honor points missing from the session of two days ago showed up in the stats today. So what I saw wasn't a bug in the allocation of the points but just the Honor tab losing track of the points that were being split between the two days. Which isn't anything critical to point out and yell about. *ashamed* It's also odd how the Honorable Kills of the "Last Week" and "Lifetime" sections also didn't update with the new numbers (compare them with the screenshot posted above).
