| CTF: can't capture flag Seems to be random and affecting both sides. You just get to the platform, wait, and wait, and wait and you don't capture it. Sometimes it's instant, sometimes it's not. Fix please. |

| we had a situation last night where our flag was on its stand and one of our guys was standing on it with the horde flag and it didnt recognize it as a capture. he had to leave the general area and come back and then it worked. not so good if you are being pursued. |

| Yes CTF is still plagued by bugs and flaws, to such an extent it's really not worth bothering with. In addition to the flag-capping delays introduced this patch, Blizzard have yet to fix : a) the many terrain exploits, where players can climb to be out of line of sight for all spells and attacks, meaning a flag carrier can hold the flag indefinitely. b) duped flags, i can steal your flag at the exact moment you bring my flag to your cap point, and another flag will spawn in its place meaning teams can double score. c) instance portals - why are these inside WSG? If players want to leave they can just /afk out, leaving portals inside just results in people MCing eachother out. It's stupid. d) Rogue Vanishing - not quite sure how it works, but rogues are vanishing with the flag, on our screens we see the flag static where he vanished but can't pick it up then 5 seconds later the rogue picks it back up halfway across the map. Probably something to do with the right location of the flag not being sent to our clients Combine the bugs with the sloppy honor system and whats happening now on my server, is that the best teams from each faction /afk out when they see eachother and rejoin the queue so they can go up against pick up groups. After all, you get the same CP for winning a 5minute match vs pickups, as you do for winning that marathon 2hr game vs a solid team. They could fix that by punishing teams that /afk out by deducting CP for doing it, and tracking wins/losses for group games by group leader or guild tag. The first two weeks of CTF on my server were great until everyone discovered the exploits :/ |

| In regards to the rogue vanishing thing. The reason it seems odd is due to the way stealth works and the way grabbing the flag works. Anytime anybody grabs the flag off the ground it takes a few seconds for the flag to fully fade out and get displayed on the person's back. When the rogue stealths, he's clicking like mad to grab that flag, he's prepared for it, and that's why 99% of the time the rogue will get it before anyone else does. He was ready for it. Often times a rogue will be sprinting, get rooted, vanish (breaks root) grab the flag and because he was sprinting, the next time you see him he's about 10 yards away or so. It's really not a bug, it's just the way stealth is handled. The best fix would be to make the flag instantly appear on the person's back and not take 5 seconds to fade out. There have been times when I've netted a rogue, and I was ready for him to try to vanish, and I've actually returned the flag. But that's because I was prepared and already spam clicking before he even vanished. As far as the other bugs, I agree, there's a lot of stuff that needs reworked. The delay with flag capping is definitely the most frustrating though. I've had it take upwards of a minute to cap the flag before. Luckily my crew is pretty good on defense and we can keep our flag room secure long enough for the stupid game to register the capture. Things that I think need fixed:

| They actually fixed the dupe flag bug, sort of. That's what this thread is about. Now there's a huge problem with it taking upwards of a minute for you to cap a flag once you're standing on top of your flag. I think whatever they did to fix the dupe flag bug is what's causing this bug. |

+15 Internets | We lost a game due to the "flag wouldnt cap" bug as well. And I agree on fixing the stupid horde GY wall climb...it's a massively unfair advantage, especially considering many alliance people arent used to having to climb it and thus cannot give pursuit.
