EU honor contest results

Only 1-2 months late the results are here! Can't say I'm suprised by the results...

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...=1#post3838125

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/conte...m/winners.html
Apparently the official one is screwed up.

I present to you, the WINNARZ!

Totals

Mage 65

Rogue 58

Hunter 22

Priest 18

Shaman 14

Warrior 12

Druid 3

Warlock 2

Paladin 0

% of the WoW playerbase % of the honour prize

Rogue 15% 29.9%

Hunter 15% 11.3%

Warrior 15% 6.2%

Mage 13% 33.5%

Paladin 9% 0.0%

Priest 9% 9.3%

Druid 9% 1.5%

Warlock 8% 1.0%

A little funny that out of the 12 warriors who won 9 are on PvP servers.

Edit: Someone took the time to compile this:

Horde

Rogue 19 20%

Mage 38 40%

Hunter 9 9%

Priest 8 8%

Warrior 6 6%

Druid 1 1%

Warlock 2 2%

Shaman 14 14%

97 100%

Alliance

Rogue 39 40%

Mage 27 28%

Hunter 13 13%

Priest 10 10%

Warrior 6 6%

Druid 2 2%

Warlock 0 0%

Paladin 0 0%

97 100%

Makes the mage/rogue dominance even clearer, bit suprised that horde didn't have more rogues considering all the UD rogues.

I remember someone saying a while back that it would be dominated by Mages, Rogues, and Hunters. Boy was he right. I can't believe that not a single Paladin made it though.

Didn't Blizzard originally state that the contest was actually going to be determined by a drawing, and that you got more entries in the drawing with more points?

All these "Winners" get is an ugly purple tabard that says "WOW" on it.

I find it funny that the results for Lightbringer and Garona are reversed, much like our avatars were for the three seconds they worked about two weeks ago.

I could bitch about this I guess, but I'm hoping our friends at Blizzard already realize the mistakes they made with the honor system and have some plans coming soon to improve it.

The best part about them posting the winners is proving how stupid and broken the fucking honor calculations are. Neither of the Mal'Ganis "winners" are rank 14.

The sad thing is for Illidan, the guy on alliance who won the tabard hasn't been on for 17 days (his guild exodus'd to DAoC), and the guy on horde can't win the graphics card since he's a Euro =/

Both the winners on EU Darksorrow (PvP) have quit playing.. Atleast the horde person did, and I haven't seen the alliance guy online more than once a week since this contest took place. Also it seems like a weird winner on alliance side since there was lots of people higher in rank than him at the time (And also higher in weekly standing). Darksorrow is one of the newest servers and low-pop so was pretty easy to keep track of people at the time of the contest..

The horde winner on shadow moon quit, and the alliance winner re-rolled horde.

On some of the bigger servers, I think so. Mal'ganis stopped killing leaders(other than Horde people exploiting Mark of Shame to farm gold off the Horde leaders ), so our highest is rank 13. An amusing anecdote: the alliance player who won on Mal'ganis lost their job because they were PvPing too much. Gotta love those priorities.
