One of these days they'll release something actually nice looking, just a simple model with a high resolution texture. Less overboard on the wack models please.

No caster items. *shock*

I pray he just wasn't interested in finding them.
There are actually a couple of staves listed here:

http://www.whataboutpp.com

I like http://www.whataboutpp.com/upload/bwlstaff2.jpg, but the "pineapple staff" http://www.whataboutpp.com/upload/bwlstaff1.jpg looks kinda lame imo.

With my luck, the pineapple staff will have the better stats. Meh.

I have no idea why everyone posting 'bwl models' doesn't end up posting all of them, each post seems to have a few differences/omissions.

And yes, I agree, the huge outlandish models are stupid. What are we, playing fucking Final Fantasy?

12' swords that are 3' wide just look retarded. It's not about realism, it's just about *how bloody retarded* having a weapon that is bigger than your entire torso looks.

Gonna go on record saying the 'FEAR THE CLAW' dagger is stupid. How stupid is that thing going to look using backstab animations?

I like the idea of the dagger, but yeah, the nails are too curvy to actually be able to stick the pointy end in the ennemy.

I like the gianstalker look though. *shrugs*

It's funny how shoulder armor generally looks nice on most females, but completely ass on males. I mean, geez, that orc is carrying his own personal pillbox around on his shoulders. I really don't get the steel clad look in the first place, I thought hunters were supposed to be maneuverable?

Edit: God, I hadn't noticed the link before, but those Draconian weapons look like friggin Indian fleamarket brass curiosa, not something I can actually use on the battlefield.

I dunno having an entire castle structure on your back looks pretty gay. /thumbs down to the hunter set.

The hunter shoulders are an example of what's wrong with the set art. Now...fuck Bloodfang looks outrageously badass...I have to agree with Murr, if that is a dagger, it had better like, open up its fingers midswing so you can stab with it, but hey, maybe it's not...

Anyway, I'm not real fond of might pauldrons or helm. I actually liked the might pauldrons more when they had the graphic that gianstalkers inheirited when might graphics changed. They weren't great at the time, but they somewhat resembled what I think the slot should look like on a tank (this is a PvE set, remember). I never liked valor anything, the shoulders were only ever good as a status symbol, back when having Valor shoulders was special. The saw blade shit, the big spikes coming off of the might helm?

A: Save that for the PvP sets, I don't want equipment that looks like I will greviously injure myself / get stuck in a dragon's paw. I want it to look like, oh, something that will protect me! For ther record, one of my favorite pieces has always been DI shoulders. Bulky Iron Spaulders look pretty good as well, but are not exactly LEET. I'm sure you can find a way to make warrior pauldrons look cool without making them look like you should be the business end of an especially deadly fastball special.

B: I would love, for once, if they modeled this gear on a Tauren, and let the humans inheirit it and it looks like ASS on THEM. Might helm looks absolutely regoddamnediculous on a Tauren, I mean retarded beyond degrees measurable by the Association of Retarded Equipment.

So where is the Wrath set? I want time to complain now, somehow I doubt it will continue to look as 'tanky' as it does at the moment. Perhaps they should make gloves with a little spinning sawblade at the wrist that will clip through your body when you swing.

All in all I really like the fact that they're giving BWL gear more personality, most of the items shown are really cool looking, including the staves! Might have people really excited to reap this stuff.

that's not a pineapple. It's obviously a pinecone. When great heat is channeled through it it can germinate the seed!

and a buster sword would be awesome. I expect they're hard at work sending dorfs to mine Materia to properly construct it.

Anyone with new pics of the twig armor? That shit is so funny to look at, I almost want to activate to mock the hell out of druids. "So, what, did you hit a deer with your car and decide to wear the antlers?" "What the fuck are you, a furry?" "Hey, make sure to wear an orange vest or that dwarf hunter in the big fucking shoulderplates might shoot you." SO MANY POSSIBILITIES

I think the Might helm looks uber on Tauren.

And what's with the complaints about the claw/dagger? Obviously you can't just stab straight into someone with it, but having someone swing that clawtips first into my back sounds mighty motherfucking painful. No one complained about backstabbing with Dire Nails...

At least you don't have every single shoulder item in the game look like ass on you. I don't know how the hell Blizzard's modellers manage to overlook this shit, but every damn shoulder item I've had up till now always either floated above my shoulder or looked like it was about to fall off, or simply stuck out a mile into some direction. Looks to me like they basically model this shit on a human and then simply do an XYZ-scaling to something that is at least reasonably suited for the target race. The big problem is that Night Elves are way bigger, but not as wide as a XYZ-scaled human item would require.

The tauren helm issue is something else, but the basics are the same: Some extra editing is needed aside frmo running a batch resize 3dmax script..
