Auction house hack or am I just stupid?

My wife and I have both noticed that items we put up are disappearing off the AH at the minimum bid price before auction expires, usually within 5-15 minutes. I've been thinking it's just a fluke but more and more I'm wondering if there is some hack people (thinking here specifically of IGE/Yantis etc.) are using to get items for the minimum bid...items that aren't "big ticket" enough to cause a stir if they went for 300gp under BO for the MB price.

Anyone else been noticing this? Am I crazy? I know I'm not crazy thinking that my (and my wife's) items are disappearing immediately from AH for MB price, that is definitely happening. But is there some legit AH mechanism that is letting people do that or is there some hack?

Something is definately happening. I had 2 items disappear in the last day less than 2 hours after i put them up for their minimum bid (Pretty obvious when buyout was 10G higher).

I forgot to mention that I petitioned this and had the petition completely ignored by GMs. Not unusual but the other petitions I've submitted in the past month have all been promptly answered either through e-mails or directly.

Yes, because it's so unrealistic that there would be a bazaar/AH hack in an MMORPG exploited by mass buyers/sellers using autobuy/sell scripts.

Could server lag, I've gotten messages where it tells me the auction was completed, but I have no mail icon.

there was the hack involving a full mailbox, but they fixed that one.

No no, I get the money immediately. It's not lag. Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

Solstice Staff of the Owl goes up for sale for 3g MB/5g BO
15 minutes later, I get in the mail 3g 15s, the 15s being the deposit on the auction.
30 seconds later I get the money in the mail.

a. I put some thorium bars on AH for 5 gold, the only auction i have up.
b. I go stock up on POF reagents, take my dog out and get a beer
c. I walk to griffonmaster to catch a ride to get in BG queue... before i even take off i get a sold message.
d. I walk straight back and check my mailbox to find 1 gold 20 silver (the starting price).

Yep, we're clearly paranoid and delusional. That's no server lag either.

Now that you mention it..

A couple of weeks ago, I put up a stack of sungrass in the AH. I can't remember minimum bid but I remember the buyout as 9g. After like 20 minutes I get the message saying the sungrass sold. I went and checked mail a couple of hours later, and I got something like 25 silver for the sungrass.

Sounds like the old full mailbox trick is "unfixed" maybe.

Yup. This has happened to me before as well on a number of occasions. Always on small items however. Its a very real bug or hack.

This has been happening as long as I played the game. I petitioned it 5 or 6 times and was told every time they WERE looking into it. *shrugs*
