Damn, Kendrick was always one of my favorites and not just because I played a Rogue in EQ. I will be curious to see what happened there as well.

You forget, it wasn't the ease or casual appeal of WoW that gathered it 2million subscribers. Alot of those people were going to pick up the game having little idea what was to be expected out of it.
If it was shaped for the "niche" that you suggested and it had 2million players playing, you'd be calling for that direction also ?
Blizzard was always going to sell a fucking huge amount of copies.

Oh you want a WoW clone. How awesome!

AFAIK, Kendrick was in charge of creating the continent known as Koju (Asian-themed continent). Each Senior game dev was in charge of creating their own continent... perhaps he finished all there was to do and left for another project.

Maybe Kendrick is really Neric and got caught spamming these boards. (Notice where Neric is from?)

But seriously, that sucks he's gone.

Nah, I don't really. I don't play WoW. I'm saying if I wanted to make money as a game dev, that's what I'd do.

Turbine just released an expansion for AC2 and it has less than 20,000 subscribers...

There has to be money at that playerbase level to release a whole expansion, doesn't it?

Maybe that is why SGO denied that a third content existed for the longest time?? Maybe that's why there is little info on it, maybe it's not even done because one day Kendrick bailed?

Or maybe they just want to gradual release information? So they have new things to announce to create hype.

Yeah, that's it. They're holding back on content so that there's mystery for the people playing in retail.

I see Neric strikes again with his Vanguard Doom and Gloom posts. What a smacktard.
