If I was Brad McQuaid I would realize that my main strength is the promotion of a product rather than making decisions about the product. So I would do what Steve Jobs did and let Steve Wozniak take care of the technical part.

It seems to me that Vanguard is speeding on the road to nowhere. Time to hit the breaks and do a U-turn.

Who was he? Artist? Dev? Programmer?

Id like to know as well, because that would suck if he is gone.

Console gamers are passionate, but not necessarily hardcore in terms of playing huge amounts of hours. Some do of course, but there are a huge amount of console gamers that just like to be able to throw in a game for 30-45 minutes of diversion.

I agree, consloles are like attention deficit kids.

If I remember right Kendrick is responsible for alot of the best content in the Velious EQ expansion (Sleepers Tomb & more), which most people consider to be the height of EQ and its best expansion. I'm sure he did more than that for Kunark and other expansions, but that's all I know for sure from memory.

Hell of a nice guy too, I still remember him with his uber level 35 rogue in very early EQ beta helping me retrieve my corpse when I fell down the befallen well, lol.

Maybe he went over to NC soft like all the WoW devs?

To make the ultimate super duper mmorpg?

It's true. There is a thread on it at the Sigil Forums whcih has been avoided all day. SGO is listing 2 Senior Game Designers. With Kendrick being one of their only senior game designers and gone, does that worry anyone?

Check it out for yourself.

But Brad's stated goal is to expand the genre and bring in more players. You don't try to sell Ferraris to people who have never owned a car, it doesn't work. You try to sell Scions.
