The Vanguard Forums...

If any of the following apply, then you should sign up on the vanguard forums:

1. You like good MMO discussions
2. You are interested in Vanguard
3. You want a better shot in beta!

Right now there are only 3 fucktards on that forum which is great compared to this one and the dreaded WoW forums. There is 1 recently revealed idiotic bitch, 1 innane shitface who enjoys being an asshole, and 1 what I assume to be young kid who fails at forums 101.

As of now there are a ton of good discussions happening there everyday, not even necessarily about Vangaurd but MMO concepts in general. Of course it doesnt have the same spicey 'flava' these forums have, but it is a nice change of pace once in a while.

The game design forum is where all the good shit is, and fuck, legend has it that signing up on forums before beta may increase your chance of getting into one of the beta pushes if that is your bag too.

I am sure a lot of you already post there already but for those who don't give it a shot.

I read them on a pretty regular basis, but never post. I've never been a big fan of posting on official boards. They usually cesnor and if you haven't caught on by now, I tend to say 'fuck' alot when I get passionate about game design.

As for beta slots, well, Brad, my email is p_flaw@yahoo.com. Put me in beta and I promise I won't register sigilsucks.com

j/k I am like Zehn in that I tend to not post on official boards since 99 percent of the posts are people trying to get an angle on a beta slot either by stroking dev. ego or elaborate rp schemes etc.

Between the official Vanguard boards and FoH boards, I think there's more intelligent discussion of mmo issues here. Of course, that's like comparing the rickshaw to the shortbus...

I read most of what happens on the Vanguard boards. It has somewhat intelligent discourse. I won't last though. When the game hits Beta they'll be flooded with every idiotic B.net poster. Most alpha boards aren't bad just because of the low population and usually more intelligent posters that are aware of it when it is that early in development.

Agreed. Just look at the early beta WoW boards. Kat was an idiot but for the most part, intelligent discussion was the norm. It wasn't really until around the 49 level cap that enough people started getting in that good debates about the pro's and cons of the game got replaced by, "OMFG WHY DON'T PALADINS HAVE TALENTS YET?!?!" and "Post your favorite Murloc color!" threads drowned them out.

Though thankfully we had the general blizzard forums to prepare us. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and re-read the 140 some odd FoH-hate threads.

Yes, absolutely. This is why I was posting this now. The amount of retarded threads and shitheads is kept to a minimum and Brad n Co. seem to reply on a pretty constant basis which is great. Once beta is open it will more than likely degrade. So as the saying goes...get them hotcakes while they're hot!...or something.

1. I luv all you guys too, regardless of whether you participate/read the official boards, and welcome the additional scrutiny and criticism found here and elsewhere.

2. We've commited to supporting community sites and other general MMOG sites by posting and reading, including this one.
