| Conan MMO Don't know how many of you have seen this new video but this game looks like complete shit. *marks another MMO off to try in the future* http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=402 |

| The world looked immersive. I don't need CGI-Quality rendering. I just need the world to be believable. But that movie, while "in game", is just a trailer. We'll need to hear from a non-dev player or have an actual gameplay footage before you could even try to say if its going to be good or not. Last edited by Bralkan : 05-28-2005 at 05:17 PM. |

| Conan theme is an interesting setting, and the severed head at the end of the trailer was pretty cool. Conan was a pretty violent comic and movie, so that could be one plus to this MMO, but I have to agree that the player models are rather sub-par to say the least. The city looked pretty nice with all the people roaming around. Unfortunately, I don't see this game doing very well. With the DDO video which looks pretty sweet, and Vanguard around the corner, anyone who's following MMO development will probably just hold out for those more reputable titles. |

| I think they look better than Vanguard. Then again I much prefer Gothic 1/2 to Morrowind, and I see Conan/Vanguard as a similar comparison. Less "realistic" graphics with better animation is much preferable to 500000 polygons and fighting with a stick up your ass. And, at least for my money, we're getting to a point with graphics where you don't see what's good with them but what looks bad. |

| You know, you could rip on Funcom for many things, but art style, quality and origonality they are prety good at. This game isnt slated until a mid 2006 release. /shrug

+5 Internets | Aside from terrain LOD popping (which happens in every game) I dont see what's wrong with the video. Looks pretty primitive and barbaric which is what Hyboria is all about. Definitely far from "compete shit" status judging solely on the video. |

+37 Internets | Completely off topic, but didn't feel like bumping an old thread: What happened to Matrix Online? Did it die already?

| Matrix Online just had a 10 day free testing period for one of their live events. If you bought Matrix Online, you got 3 trial keys to pass out to friends. I got a key from a friend and thought the character creation was the best thing about the the whole game. Plus you can't just cancel your account online when you don't feel like playing anymore, you have to call a number and tell someone to cancel your account for you. Thanks, I'll pass. |
