| I think its gonna be really hard to not go in that sorta direction, It is all based upon Tolkien/DnD to begin with unless your game is in a totally different genere.

| So this means that Vanguard is going in the way of no crowd control? This kinda blows in a way. I liked the added tension, skills, and tactics that CC brought to the table. It seems like VG is going by the way of WoW and EQ2, hardly no CC.

My guess is; enchanters will appear in Vanguard, as part of the crafting sphere. I agree with your standpoint on crowd control also, I think it's pretty lame that up until now, Brad has said crowd control will be very limited; and he's remained silent as to whether or not there'll be a class specializing in crowd control. Honestly, it'll be a definate sticking point for me, and I assume many other players, if at least one crowd control specialist class isn't included in the line up. Crowd control, like any other game mechanic, should be evolving. I'm sad to see that the more recent games on the market, with the notable exception of City of Heroes, have sought to de-evolve crowd control to the point of irrellevance and borderline nonexistance. | What's interesting is that he said "I'll post a list of the classes that we feel confident about, leaving out a few that we still need to work with more" So there are more than these that they are working on. And Mkopec1 the Psionicist is the semi-known "enchanter" type. |
