+3 Internets | Guild VS. Guild Battlegrounds? Yep! I apologize if this was posted elsewhere, but the guild vs. guild Battlegrounds feature so many people have been crying for is going to be available. Quote:

| People will still find a way to bitch about this feature. Even though Blizzard has to accomadate thousands of others.

Guantlet Imagine a snake like, narrow path with towers on each side (kinda like the WC3 expansion) firing at your guild/party while mobs spawn from the objective up on top the map, and run down to engage. If you wipe you respawn at the bottom, first team to have half their players at the top wins. Football. Gain an extra ability "Throw" 5 second cast time, interruptable. Can even use the same map as above. Player with the ball is the only killable player on the map. Reach your oppenents base and get 1 point, 5 points wins the match. Snare ftw. Dragons Bane Horde and Alliance start with a base on opposite ends of the map. Each base has a Dragon and a Dragons Bane sword. The Sword does massive damage to the other teams dragon. Dragons (and dead team) respawns 2 minutes (or whatever) after death at their base. First team that brings their Dragon and the sword to the other base wins. Poison Valley Annihilation type, last team standing. Map passively causes a universal slight negative health regen. Whenever a teammate dies everyone on their team suffers 200(?) damage. Dreadlords Arena Mortal Kombat type of arena with a Dreadlord as overseer, randomly spawning mobs ala ring type event. Tailored in difficulty for solo up to guilds. Ok I'm getting far fetched now.. ![]() Last edited by Jait : 05-18-2005 at 02:43 AM. | |

| It'd make more sense to change raid functionality rather than bodge in a BG fix, IMO - something like being able to set empty slots in a raid to 'Reserved' status which would count as a player for BG lockout/limit purposes, but the raid leaders could remove it and invite people in as and when they log in. Hell, tie it in with guild/friend lists and have a 'Reserved for JoeBloggs' ability as well that auto-invites JoeBloggs to the raid when he logs on. |

| this will only assure you that your 40 man raid of guildies goes in together. you still cant select what guild of the other faction you go against. i guess this could be done with twinks on pve servers to coordinate, but still way clunky. they need to add same faction battles. Red vs Blue or whatever. I give a shit about the Roleplay implications. alliance spawning infernals has to be better then sitting for hours a time to get into an instance. the pop imbalance is an issue. if you let alliance fight alliance you can solve it. wow history supports same faction infighting. lets see it.

| Anyone else hoping Blizzard changes CTF to be more Onslaught based? (Or at least implements a separate Onslaught type scenerio.) I think it's retarded you can capture a GY deep in enemy territory when the otherside still controls outposts "connected" to it. |

+7 Internets | Last Man Standing would be cool. 20v20 or 30v30 brawl. No rez, no GY, when you die you get ejected from the battleground. Last team with someone alive gets honor bonus including those who died. |

+6 Internets | A BG with moving platforms like Deeprun might be a lot of fun, like an UT map. Maybe a dwarven steam tank brigade rolling next to a group of horde battle wagons pulled by kodos. Have gaps jumpable and falling off = death. Horde and alliance spawn in the back of the map and have to fight to the front of the map to disable the head of the caravan. I'd have to be a small pop map so that lag wouldn't hit you in such a 'sensitive' area. |
